I'm not sure if it was due to this song or due to me offhandedly mentioning the insult, but in our production, Barfee calls Chip "Boner Boy" while they're screaming insults at each other, and I have to stop myself from falling backwards off the bleachers because I'm trying not to laugh. 🤣

S White i played chip im my highschool production. lack of male tallent, and i had a history of playing guys in the plays. we were going to switch it to distraction if we were going to show it to the elementary kids. but i just had a hard time learning both lyrics, so i told the director we better not be showing it to little kids, cuz im singing about my erection. my family sure got a kick out of that. practicing in my house, my dad says, " you better not have any kind of erection." i didnt practice at home anymore. tooooo funny.

That's a very important role. If you do it just right, and still add your own elements to it as an actor, it will make the audience love the performance. If you don't, it could break the play. It's essential. That's why I tried out for Chip: There's less risk involved. Chip's lines are funny, whereas William's lines, diction, appearance, and dances are all designed to be funny. If not done properly, it could ruin the play. If you feel like you're ready to take on that responsibility, then go after it! Believe in yourself! Try to be Barfee, and still be yourself. If you do, you'll definitely get the role, and rightfully so! Good luck!
