Take a butter knife place it under the lid and lift. You will hear a pop and the top will open. Works every time. My grandpa taught me this trick

Or...turn the jar upside down and hit it flat a time or two against a hard surface like the kitchen floor. That works too--it breaks the seal.

Natasha, you can slip the tip of a butter knife under the lid and lift until the lid burps or unseals and it will twist right off! Those Trader Joe lids are super hard sometimes !

Warm water opens flowers. That’s why florist leave arrangements in coolers, so the flowers can stay closed as long as possible :) I’m going to try the dawn/apple cider hack. Thank you!

When they're vacuum sealed like that I use a flat head screwdriver under the lid to release the seal. 83 year old grandma with weak hands here. 🙂

For Grip- I use textured rubber gloves or put a thick rubber band around the lid, if that doesn't work I run it under hot water because that will make the glass shrink.

I think TJ's Pronto had been their separate alcohol/wine store, since you can't buy alcohol in grocery stores in NY. But there wss some issue about unionizing, so TJ's closed it and turned it into a mini food store. Some are disappointed, and i don't know where they find TJ wines in NYC now. (I'm sending this from CA where 🍷is ubiquitous at TJ's.)

Jam is more like a fruit preserve, meaning you see the pieces of whole fruit in there, whereas jelly is clear and is made with only the juice of the fruit.

Michelle - literally wearing Ube hoodie, and trying Ube for the first time! 💜 Michelle is so cute and sweet. You didn't ask me: cut all leaves off of flowers for professional lewk arrangement; carrying a bag of TJ 's home in NYC is real life; thanks for sharing about Pronto - hopefully it will funnel the NYU students from the regular TJ's next door to pronto so that citizens of NYC can do shop at TJ 's 😊

I learned from a florist to only use about 1 to 2 inches of water and to also remove the leaves. Another florist suggested 1 tsp of sprite and 1 tsp of bleach to keep your flowers last longer.

Boston's store has a banner saying it is the smallest of the stores, with " the biggest heart" so it must really be the second tiniest after NYC's Pronto, and the smallest one with full inventory. Boston's doesnt lack anything, but there's no space to walk because it's all products, so everyone shops single file in this urban basement shop hippy congo line and it's my happy place

I love it.I habe much rather have it than a soda. It is so refreshing. I have home nurses come in and they will ask if I have extra . They are running around visiting patients and I love keeping some treats to show them how BB much I appreciate their service to all of us.. They also love the mango smoothies now that it is getting warmer. They can drink them in between patients.

The key to open glass jars is to take a metal knife or butter knife and turn the knife upside down to tap about three times around the lid then twist it to open it and if that doesn’t work, take the knife side (preferably a dinner knife, not sharp knife) and put it under the lid where the little dents or tiny opening are and push upwards but hold the jar on the table so it doesn’t fall and break……then twist it after you hear the knife pop the lid. Here are two “how to” videos online!! Good luck 👍 😂 kzbin.info8MlX-Djdb_E?si=VA9Qkcjntr-xpahU kzbin.infoj-lb0RYKKTw?si=V6g_JY6Tb-B4ZA0M
