The 6105/Captain Willard/SPB151 series always looked awkward to me in videos, but on the wrist it's such a different story and feels soooo good. In particular, the SPB153, olive green on a rubber strap, is pretty much perfect.

After six months of researching luxury divers, reading and watching scores of professional reviews, and many trips to ADs to try them on, I recently purchased a Tudor BB58, black dial on leather strap. I am beyond pleased with it. An incredible watch and a great value for a luxury diver watch with real heritage. Thanks for the great channel!

Oris made me feel in love and appreciate and learn about watches.... They are so unique... I went down the rabbit hole... reading about their rich history, just made me respect them even more... Some people never watched basketball till Jordan or Lebron showed up, some people never watched futbol until Maradona or Messi showed up.. I dident care about watches until I saw an Oris watch.... that's the type of magic it brings...

Great video Teddy. FWIW the Seamaster is the cheapest; I saw it for $3800 at a grey mkt seller today and you won't lose a dollar on that if you treat the watch well. You could own that jewel 10 years, then sell it for 5k and nobody would bat an eyelid.

Great selection of watches. I love Breitling, but the the Super Ocean's miserly use of lume makes it a never-go for me. On the other hand, the SeaMaster's lack of the ugly and useless helium release valve carbuncle makes it much more attractive than the standard Seamaster.

Great vid thanks Teddy. I would go Omega Seamaster 2254.50 or 2255.80 from early 2000s. Under 12mm thick, elegant and classic looking Bond era watches. Arrow hands too, and a steel case-back which I always prefer. These are gorgeous and I hope to get one some day (probably the aluminium bezel one). Omega really need to work on getting their watches thinner - ideally around 12mm, or thinner. That would make Rolex obsolete for me personally
@gmshadowtraders

The Omega kicks the shit out of any Rolex, that's why it's thicker. Much more tech goes inside.

@@gmshadowtraders the ones I'm mentioning are thin. So I'd go with those instead. More elegant. But I'm sure omega can develop thinner movements.
@gmshadowtraders
@gmshadowtraders 2 жыл бұрын
@@Valera_Scotland What I'm saying is by going thinner you will sacrifice on the features. Nothing is for free. But I get why you would want a thin diver. I have a fondness for 1960s and 1970s skin divers which are to this day remain some of the thinnest watches ever produced. I don't really know why companies can't deliver that style anymore.
@Valera_Scotland
@Valera_Scotland 2 жыл бұрын
@@gmshadowtraders very true. I hope that by the time I save up , they'll release a vintage looking thin diver with black bay 58 proportions. If they do then I won't be looking at 15yr old watches which of course are less technically and have the downside of wear and tear. We shall see. My g shock and F91W casio are doing a great job for now. And they cost what normal people would consider fair .. most people I speak to think it's mad to spend thousands on a watch! They are right...but this hobby defies all logic
