Good job Central Michigan for not giving up early Okie State's D fence has a LOT of holes! Spencer Sanders looks special How many guys on both sides were named "Richardson"? Announcer: "Richardson hands it off to Richardson who then laterals it to another guy named Richardson" 😂

Spencer Sanders is honestly very mediocre. His throws are kind of wobbly and low. There's just a lot of talent in the recieving corps. Sanders also has a knack for throwing a couple of picks a game, generally. But he IS pretty slick on his feet.

OK State always struggles against opponents like this early in the season - getting ahead by 30 points so early on is not always the easiest thing because it makes the rest of the game harder to manage (you never prepare for being 30+ points ahead with half the game to go against a quality opponent). I'm sure Gundy and the coaching staff are glad to have this one in the rear-view mirror.

Guys, Gundy said in the after game press conference that they put in a ton of their young defensive players who had little to no experience in for the second half. Towards the end of the 4th, the starters came back to prevent any fires (2 score game and we know what happened against CMU in 2016). They were up 44-15 at half, it’s not that the defense fell asleep, cooled off, stopped caring, etc - Gundy just wanted the young guys to get reps, because clearly, they need it! Should it have been closer? Probably. Will the close score hurt us down the line when the committee looks? Maybe! I’m just saying to not fret over the defense. Not yet at least!

Proud of my team, CMU. To be clear, OSU still had their starters in and were airing it out in the 4th. This was not a case of racking up points against backups. CMU adjusted very well offensively and defensively. There was a really bad missed PI call on that final 4th down too; would have been nice to see a 1 score game. All that said, congrats to OSU. If your corners are on the line of scrimmage playing man they need to jam those receivers to knock them off their routes.
