Appreciate this, solo play does not always get as much credit as it should and when it does a lot of the time it’s “woh you have to play Mage knight it is the number 1 solo game”. Or buttonshy. So I appreciate some other opinions/options. Especially the “travel friendly” versions.

It's not NECESSARILY a solo game... But nothing is stopping you from playing Hive Pocket like it was a solo game!

This was very cool to see. I remember when you covered Friday. I have traveled with Dwellings of Eldevale but it's definitely not small. It took 2 small tables and a chair but I got it played! 😂😂😂😂

Appreciate this video, it’s nice to see your top 10 for traveling. I’m always debating which games to bring on vacation, although it can be hard sometimes to find time for solo only games while traveling. I always bring one or two Button Shy games since they require no space - my two favorites being Ugly Griffon Inn and Ancient Realm.

Great list ! There a some games I didn't know yet, like Catharsis Sagas. My favorites on your list are Rolling Realms, Resist! and 20 Strong. I also have played Black Sonata, Friday, Witchcraft!, Pocket Landship, Hostage Negotiator and Conservas.

fan of bullet, and that's kind of small. bought Solar Titans to support an indy developer...havent playeed it yet, but it's kind of small box and solo. maybe also one deck galaxy...bought it, havent tried it yet. but could be good. so helpful, i know! :) and congrats on the upcoming baby, time to slow down and soak up every minute of it! trust me, as a dad of three, it doesnt take long for you to wish you could have frozen time just for a few more moments in every stage of life with the littles. enjoy the ride and don't get caught up in the "i can't wait until..." Trust me, that time will come, but you'll never be able to go backwards.

The set a watch series is a good tower defense style game that comes in small box and can be combined with others parts of the same system.

20 Strong is probably the best travel size “big” boardgame. It is a medium duration boardgame in a very small box. I have Unsurmountable, Tussie Mussie and Sprawlopolis from Buttonshy. For Northwood, the single player trick taking game and games like Grove and Orchard are not bigger than a deck of cards and are excellent travel games. Isle of Trains from Dranda games has a good solo mode. I also have some magazine war games which are just a folded A4 map, a few counters and some small dice. I travel a lot for work and sometimes I just want to play a game in my hotel room instead of wandering through yet another town with all shops closed.

Kinfire Delve? Just got into that world and it seems like an easy recommend 👍Boxes are small, travel easy, and solo is possible.

Nice video, some of the solo games I have enjoyed were some Buttonshy ones like The Last Lighthouse, Death Valley, and their advancequest line with Among I, The Fungi and The New Hill. Also I have Maquis by Side Room Games and Tin Helm by Jason Glover and Doom Machine by Nathan Meunier.

I'm definitely not a fan of Root solo, it's too much work. I just sold The Clockwork Expansion. I do like Welcome to the Moon and Fleet The Dice Game solo. They're easy to setup and play.
