I've got one of the Temu units much like what you show here. It has either 11 or 12 holes and I have basil in all of them. For less than $38 I couldn't be more pleased. The programming you mention, at least on the one I've got is stupid simple. With all that basil growing, and it's been doing really well for several months , I've had to add water almost every 3rd day at least. But that doesn't take much effort at all. Works for me 😁

I've had my aerogardens for at least 12 years. I love them, especially for starting seeds indoors. My only issue was the costs of replacing the supplies, but that's gotten better with Amazon having more options now.

I got an Aero Garden 3 years ago and it has not had any problems. I also use Idoo with 4 liter capacity. Which ever you use get the largest resivour

What is the par rating or measurement not the lux. Par is more important. If the light is removable and you have your own led lights how many plants could you grow?

I have a lot of experience with these units and came to the conclusion they are basically gimmicky and no one who is serious about growing food will be satisfied with these. I do not agree with the need for a pump. I grew an amazing garden in my apartment using the Kratky Method and very bright grow lights. I grew large lettuce, kale, collards, bok choy, Thai basil, regular basil, and also grew tomatoes and peppers. Having space for the plants and good lighting, along with proper nutrients did the trick for me. Then at some point I started growing microgreens. Now that I'm out in the country and out of the apartment, I grow outdoors but use the indoor lights still for microgreens, and starting seeds.

Point 13 - does the light have the ability to move up and down as your plant grows. I have a few that the light is permanently fixed at 10 inches and that may be good to start but some plants need a bit more room.

After buying my son an Aerogarden, and the durability of the lights, I'd never buy one again. You cannot get REPLACEMENTS!!!

@@amazingdany It was a cheaper one, the Harvest. 5 of the lights quit working within a week. They advertised replacement lights and pump when I researched it. Now they have disappeared, lots of complaints. I looked at upgrading to a 200 or 300 dollar machine, so I researched replacement lights for them. Nothing. How much do you have to spend before they stand behind their product?

@@Mike-ig2zq Ditch the growing units and look up Kratky Method. You will need good lights, and it's a DIY set up, but works far better than the units on the market. I made all of my own containers for growing using plant baskets and food grade coffee containers and also mason jars. I mostly used the coffee containers though because they hold more water so I'm not having to refill as often.
