i don’t really like scooters, but i bought my first bike in 2009, and my second in 2011, it was a 2005 Kawasaki ZZR600 and a Ninja650, had a super close call in hollywood with a soccer mom in a mini van, and i’ll just say.. i like doors, front bumper, rear bumper and crash protection. LA is insane, especially these days, i like my legs and arms 😊 but i love watching people ride, really dig the moto vlogs!

Yup that's big bikes are not ideal for a city with crazy drivers.. With a scooter you are generally driving slower so you have more reaction time

Something I think about is how they can keep miles off your car. That helps keep the value of you car and less chance of some one scratching it in a parking lot. Also scooters are cheap to insure, way cheaper than a car

They could use the backpack for groceries. That’s what I used for instacart on my ebike. Keep their hot and cold ish the same temperature longer

There is good reason why I named my scooter 'cheat code' ;). Sure, there are things we cannot do , like delivering water cases n bags of dog food, dependant on weather and a decent one requires insurance ( mine is 20 a month) registration and a license. The fuel economy is a big plus. My 125cc is good at 100 mpg. Scooters get 'smol privileges" like being waved on to go first at 4way stops and park nearly anywhere.

I just bought a 2014 Honda ruckus for $700 and I’m 52 years young,I ended up paying $600 to get get caught up on tags from 2022 the customer owed. Yes I live in California too and tags will be $152 and my insurance is $104 a year.The main thing is I’m enjoying riding it🏍️🌬️🌬️

Im getting my credit fixed upin the next couple months and saving around $1000-1500 so I can get a 2025 HondaADV160. Financing is less than $90/month. So much more affordable than a car and barrier to entry is low. I don't have a car already but my Chinese scooter simply can't do the job or handle regular roads. So time to step it up! Never done doordash and gonna start once I get mine!

@wilcer now I just hide it when I park, cops in Brooklyn have been getting more aggressive from what I've personally seen in recent months, especially with scooters due to the migrants I believe. Most mopeds in nyc are illegal, no plate or anything.

Ideally a rear mounted gas engine powered bicycle with mid drive electric bike as back offers slightly more versatility, lane splitting, less if not no time waiting at red lights or signs, off road short cuts, parking. Main reason to drive a car is to comfortably live in and deliver 24/7

An e-bike won’t work for me sadly b/c I have to briefly hop on 55mph and 65mph zones. Otherwise it would be cool. A 125cc is just enough to barely manage that short trips,
