What are you talking about? government should do this, and government should do that, most of these buildings are unsafe and hard to save, in case of an earthquake these buildings are death trap, and where do you find the money to save all these villages? Do you know how many villages like this exist in Iran? so government is doing the best it can with the limited resources it has, prioritizing and saving the ones that have architectural, historical or cultural value.

Your point is well taken, but let me clarify. The goal is not to demand the government pour funds indiscriminately into rural areas to preserve every structure. Instead, it’s about establishing clear policies and offering targeted support to protect the architectural heritage of villages with authentic and unique layouts. This can be achieved by facilitating the renovation or rebuilding of homes in ways that ensure safety from earthquakes and landslides while retaining the architectural style rooted in the region’s cultural and geographic identity. Our concern is the erosion of Iran’s architectural diversity. If traditional, location-specific designs are replaced by generic, uninspired buildings, as has often happened in cities like Tehran, the country risks losing its rich, regionally varied architectural heritage. It’s crucial to prevent this homogenization by ensuring that development respects and preserves the unique styles of these villages. Modernization and safety don’t have to come at the expense of cultural identity. Thoughtful planning, combined with strategic financial and technical support, can achieve both. This is about preserving the soul of Iran’s architecture while adapting it to contemporary needs.
