Aww I thought so too!! Just keep working. My best advice is keep turning your practice paper so you can find the best angle. For right handed people who mostly hold their pencil the same, brushstrokes are similar. But we all have learned to hold our pencil differently so it definitely takes longer to learn! It totally did for me!

I love this how to but I will swap the pink for red as that is the colour of a rainbow.

You can definitely pick a red instead depending on what look you’re going for. My full 24 color rainbow palette and my muted rainbow palette on my website both use red!
