0:02- The food coloring and glitter would settle? 0:14- The fluff would become compacted and flat in the bottom of the container? 0:59- Is that... an entire glass... of paint? Why not brush it on? Also, it wouldn’t stain the wand like shown. When pushing it down, it looks thick, meaning it would probably layer it with a solid color, not stain it. Instead, put food coloring on a paper towel and rub down the wood. Sure it won’t cover the glue, but that’s a way to get the stained look.
