I always challenge my cats with a toy but i let them catch it after that's why I don't do lasers or anything that would make them lose their confidence. One of my 6 month old kittens climbs onto me while I'm standing just to lie in my arms and he doesn't want to come down. This can be a challenge when I'm preparing their meals and he climbs onto me so i put him on one arm to sit on and he enjoys watching my other hand prepare the meal, like he's learning something. It's nice when I come home after work and they hear me and come running to me to greet me. Sometimes they're even waiting for me behind the front door after hearing my car... They say cats are independent but that's only true when it comes to basic survival. If they are part of the family they are no different from children and demand your attention and time.

What a misleading title. Should be titled 12 things that may slightly annoy your cat. I made it to picking up a cat before I had enough of this charlatan.

It's idiotic. My cat insists on having his tail pulled. He absolutely loves it and can't get enough.

@@TheCatNest It's not just the title. You are taking situations that vary greatly from cat to cat and are portraying them in black and white. Lots of cats love laser pointers. Lots of cats love being picked up. Lots of cats don't mind being woke up to receive attention. You are not a trustable source on cat psychology at all.
