Totally Spies is truly an amazing iconic show with a lot of action and fun humor. I did not know all this adult tone was in the show because as a kid you just see how amazing this animated series is. Just so you know Nerdwire I think each seasons the girls age up they don't stay a teenager through the whole series. When they are in college the girls should be in their 20s. I believe as adults, we also tend over sexualize what very well may have tried to be a decent show for a kid. As adults, we just have a natural tendency to turn what was initially meant to have good intentions into something its not. And no, I am not defending shows or kids entertainment that has indeed had or displayed intentional misuse behind the production of young entertainment. I try to take a neutral or balanced approach and/or thinking to everything to better equip my senses. Because many people just love to take their ill biased and pre meditated accusations and opinions upon every given subject that distorts their judgement and thus leading themselves on a one way tracked mindset.

This is my view of the show now, all the transformations were stock kids show plots and I thinkbwe just sexualize it when it's happening to hot young women. Thank you. Especially considering that the internet wasn't what it is today, and maybe people didn't know about a lot of those fetishes. Body changing stories for a show aimed at teen seems fitting, considering your targeted demographic is at age where their bodies are changing. And another thing that people seems to forget is, that every fetish is something that's per definition for itself not sexual. Like sure, many people may like mussel women.. but it's just body. It just something normal to exist, And we wouldn't call it a fetish thing if a show featured a buff woman usually. I am not saying it isn't possible that at least one of the people who worked at the show worked some of their preferences into it, but a lot that is just normal stuff, and we know now that some people like in another way, we accuse the very thing of being always being sexual, and that's far to often just body shapes or similar stuff. I think looking at how shows are made, how varied the plots of totally spies was, I don't think every episode was intended to be fetish fuel. I think them in sexy outfits was intentional but them getting transformed wasn't. Creators who have these tend to be specific, like if they were into muscles, they'd want multiple episodes of the girls getting ripped. As well as how tv writing is collaborative, ideas can be shot down and I doubt everyone would be comfortable writing out sexy scenarios in fiction.

The lack of interviews is another factor, I haven't heard any creators who admitted to the creation of episodes or what they were into specifically. I doubt kids show creators would want to talk about their fetishes. If someone was into something, it's more specific than what totally spies did. If they want WG, a lot of plots would focus on it, not just one or two episodes. The variety of transformations muddy what the writers were into or who was into what.
