I love all of the pieces all of them will help put together fall outfits i know some people find basics boring but without the basics nothing else works ❤

I agree! If I don’t have the right basics then I do feel like I have nothing to wear😂❤️

I really appreciate the timing of your video because it is time to think about transitional dressing. I don’t know it it’s because of global climate change but the last couple of years I’ve noticed warm weather (upper 70’s) sometimes extending into October. I want to wear more fall appropriate clothes but I want to stay cool and comfortable as well. Sometimes in Chicago we get an extended “summer” through October and then an abrupt transition to more winter like weather instead of getting actual fall like weather. Such a challenge.

I know, this time of year can be so challenging! My brain is in full Fall fashion mode, but it’s still relatively warm. I find it so hard to style outfits at the moment. Our weather has started cooling down and we usually start getting Fall like temperatures mid September. So not there yet but almost😊❤️

This was a great video and one that got me excited for fall (even though we won't get cool temperatures for another couple of months)! I have my barrel jeans ready to go as well as a cropped trench I picked up recently and a pair of ballet flats in that unusual grey colour of your new tee shirt, which should be a versatile addition! I'm loving the fact that burgundy is trending because I picked up a pair of burgundy coated jeans last year that look like leather and also a pair of oxblood pointed-toe kitten-heeled ankle boots. I can't wait for more fall styling videos! Thanks, Sansha! 🥰❤️

Oooo, the jeans and boots sounds fabulous! I’m also really happy that burgundy is so big - it means there are so many great pieces to choose from!😊❤️

I agree with a white or ivory t-shirt next to your face even if it is just the collar or neckline poking out it brightens up your face ❤

Hi Cristina! I’m so glad you loved the video! I’m also really excited to start wearing my Fall wardrobe again - I rediscovered a few favourites while filming this video😊❤️

I am loving barrel leg jeans. They are the most comfortable pant ever.

I agree. In general I prefer looser jeans these days😊

Thank you, Sansha for this beautiful video❤ I am among those who are waiting for autumn, because where I live summer lasts five-six months 😅. I enjoyed your fall staples, my favourites are this beautiful burgundy striped shirt and leopard 🐆 flats 😍 - gorgeous pieces that can spice up any look ❤️

Oh, I know how you feel😊 In South Africa we have Summer for 7-8 months of the year, and not really any Spring or Fall. I’m so enjoying Canada and getting to experience 4 seasons!

I love a good blazer, too. I’m looking for a dark brown one now, but it has to be 100% wool, with a breathable (not poly) lining and in a classic fit. Banana Republic has one that is close, but it’s a more relaxed, boyfriend fit. I’m still thinking about it and want to see what Theory has, too. These two brands have the quality, natural-fiber fabrics I need.

Oooo, I saw the one from Banana Republic and it’s fabulous. Definitely give it a try - I find BR’s boyfriend blazer are generally more fitted than other brands. I’m debating whether or both to get that one or a suede brown blazer😊❤️

Love this video Sansha! And excited to see you styling fall (even though we're going into Spring here in Aus 😅) Your Autumn and Winter content is always so good! I'm loving all the burgundy that's popping up, hoping to find a Burgundy ballet flat (that's not a mary-jane style) if you have any recommendations you've come across? 😊❤️
@styled.bysanshaАй бұрын
Thank you!! I’m also looking for a burgundy flat - either a ballet flat or mary jane, or even a pointed toe flat. I haven’t found a pair I love but will definitely share when I find a pair that’s good😊❤️

If you are from South Africa, or lived there for a while, have you tried the related South African brands Whistles and Phase Eight? Following a link by Maria Sadler on YT, I just bought two 100% cotton knit blazers there (Whistles) that I really love. I was very impressed by their quality, my old standby brand for these, Ralph Lauren puts a lot of polyester in theirs now. Whistles also has a much better color and pattern selection than RL’s boring old solid neutrals, too, including the beige/ivory stripe and light green versions I got. Of course, here in the US we have to pay a tariff on these overseas brands, like on all imports, so even with the summer sale they weren’t inexpensive. But, I love and wear these knit blazers so much, they have the shape, style and sharpness of a blazer, but are as comfy as a cardigan. They are perfect for the equinoctial seasons and for offices, restaurants, cinemas, etc., that have the AC blasting. These are classics that I will keep and use forever, so I didn’t mind paying the tariff too much. The vast majority of US brands just don’t have the high-quality natural fibers I need, so I mostly shop from UK/EU, and now, SA!

If I’m not mistaken Whistles and Phase 8 are both UK brands? We didn’t have them in South Africa when I lived there. There are a few Australian brands in SA that I used to buy from a lot of amazing quality and designs. Since the seasons are the same in Australia and SA it made a lot of sense to carry these brands. Country Road and Trenery were some of my favourites - somewhere between COS and Ralph Lauren. It might be that a few SA retailers carry Whistles and Phase 8 now 😊❤️

Hello dear Sansha. Can I ask how do you protect your shirts and t shirts collar not to become yellow? Because of that I have to renew my white basics (t shirts, tank tops and shirts)very often. Thank you!
@styled.bysanshaАй бұрын
Unfortunately white items tend to yellow over time but what I’ve found really helps is not putting it in the dryer. I’ve heard that the high heat can turn white items yellow. You can also try washing your whites with a detergent that contains a bit of bleach - I haven’t tried that but I’ve heard it also helps keep the white pristine😊❤️

I agree, a capsule wardrobe is too limiting. We can’t really expect “every item to go with every other item” unless we limit it to one or two colors. I don’t really see why that is important anyway, I never had difficulty combining items to make outfits. Nor do they work for every season of the year. I’m sure they’re a great way to start, say, a basic work wardrobe for a new college grad just entering the workforce, but even for work I want a lot more variety and choice in my wardrobe. I want, and have, a much bigger wardrobe than a capsule one, even though I’m now retired. I have at least seven or eight colors in the palette I like to wear, too, and I like some patterns, too.
@donnamcdermott443Ай бұрын
A capsule wardrobe as you said is a great place to start and you only have a few pieces to mix and match and then add in more colourful and "special" pieces from then ❤

I love the shape of the dark burgundy cardigan, but the color is too dark for me. I would so appreciate it if you could mention the fiber content of each item, thanks❤
@styled.bysanshaАй бұрын
Hi Kimberly, have a look at the cardigan online. The colour is lighter in person than on camera. I cut out the content label bit quickly checked - it’s a wool blend with Lyocell, Polyamide and elastane😊❤️
