They put 5.9 Cummins in a lot of applications, I called a semi truck salvage yard and bought everything I needed to mount the transmission all you need is a sae#2 flywheel housing that fits the 5.9 which is the engine adapter, a sae#2 flywheel 14 inch flywheel and clutch and a transmission with a sae#2 bell housing

Im in the process of building a holset hx40, 60/67/16 7 blade cast compressor wheel, 10 blade turbine, waste gated t4 turbine housing with t51r mod on the compressor housing. Just waiting on OCD works to get done with that and ill start assembly for my old D250 😍😍

@@aceinternational4788 just to try and save a little weight that transmission will already be overkill you'd never notice the difference you could probably start in 4th if you really wanted with as light as the truck is and how much overkill the setup will be. The truck stock weigh 4k. So imagine putting a semi truck transmission in something that weighs less than an f150.

Are you running a clutch brake? I've read some people say it's not necessary on the 6610, 6613 transmissions

@@tjboggs3710 I'm the same way but sometimes it's necessary to stop the counter shaft rotation to get it into 1st, 2nd, or whatever gear you pull out in without grinding, I know on big truck transmissions it's a must

I averaged around 19 mpg unloaded I have pulled my tractor and several loads of wood and concrete and still averaged 17.5

Im still torn between the NV5600 and the Eatons...I like the 6610 but I really like the 8LL Gearing. Top 6 gears aren't too far off from the 6 speed and it has several Reverse Gears. Issue is, I cant find any documentation on the size of both the RTO6610 and the 8LL.

Im personally going for a 9 speed, they weigh a tad less and are less than half the price of 10 or higher speeds, id love an RTOO 13 speed but the weight might be much on my old D250 😅

@@TRP_pit_crew to be fair, that is fair. However, you'll easily overcome the acceleration issue passively because you have an eaton 10 speed (because of the close ratio gears with range selection) you'd get a smooth acceleration that isn't sluggish and you'd stay within peak power range while going through gears with the added benefit of great towing capability. As long as your drive axle and drive shaft can handle the torque and the frame being reinforced to some extent.
