I see nothing wrong with having a gun in your home for protection. But it needs to be locked in a safe or have a triggers lock on it. NEVER leave a gun where a child can get their hands on it. It's also a good idea to teach your child about the danger of guns. Sorry, it's just my belief.

As children, we learned the difference between toy guns and real guns, and we learned never to play with real guns, ever. I watched enough shows and movies as a child to know what guns can do to people, so even if I found a real gun, I was never gonna play with it. One thing you should teach kids is that you don't ever trust a gun. Even without the trigger being pulled, people can still get shot.

In that instance what should’ve happened is there should’ve been an inner locking device on the top drawer. Another good way to deal with it would’ve been to leave your service revolver at work like the Mrs. has said The other way to totally have avoided this issue would’ve been to take the clip out of the weapon and put the weapons Safety on. One thing I will say is that installing a locking door handle on the parents bedroom door would’ve been another way to prevent this.

I disagree with this lesson since my step-dad has a gun somewhere in his and my mom's room. I think the important thing is if you have a gun with children in the house always keep it somewhere they can't find it but also let them know you have one in case of an emergency so they don't accidently see it and think it's a toy. Also it's a good thing to teach gun safety and to let them know you have the gun since when they get older if someone dose break in they can take immediate action if you are not around

This story was quite serious...I know it's script, but at the end, I'm glad that no one was hurt/killed since Jay was playing with his father's gun and missed shooting his dad. Guns are dangerous but you still might need one if your in an invasion if minors are around it makes sense like guns or consent actually consent isnt a big deal but its shown that dogs are very unreliable protection and most likely will get itself killed protecting you don't have your dog protect you at home no matter the size because the home invader may be armed. You will want a weapon or hide and then call the police not a dog.

Something similar happened to someone I know. When my grandma was a kid, he friends which her next doors neighbours, their dad was a solider. He left a gun in the house. The older kid took it and didn’t know it was a real gun. He was playing with little brother and unfortunately he shot him. The older brother then did suicide. 😔😔 RIP

Tragedy, This vid remined me of how a local Sheriff Deputy died years ago, Not from anyone playing with his gun though, He had pulled the shotgun out the trunk of the Sheriff car and was doing something (I think cleaning it) but forgot to unload it during that and it blew his faceoff :(.
