Hello my creative friends,
Let’s do an acrylic pour. We ring pour, straight pour, wiggle pour and dirty pour!
And we tilt tilt tilt like there’s no tomorrow
And we use a fun new ingredient- mirror effect spray paint.
Black paint : 1 part paint 2 part floetrol
White paint : 1 part paint 2 part floetrol
Spray paint base: floetrol 200mls 2 tbs gel medium (to thicken it up)

It’s was looking pretty ordinary at one stage - but all that titling really helped the effects to pop. Titling creates friction where one colour rubs against another and helps interesting effects emerge ! Thanks for your support - I appreciate it so much.

Love love love this piece........Thank you for the ideas of how to capture the paint drippings and reuse them for the same project. You can also use floetrol around your puddles to help move the paint around when you do not have enough base paint or your base paint is too thick.

Ooooo great ideas - I wouldn’t use floetrol like that - in AU floetrol is $54 for 4 litres 😥 it’s precious like gold 💫

A very interesting result Maggie, I like it . Sometimes i do silly things as well and I do know better. I think it is because I watch to many painting techniques instead of concentrating on 1 style for a while. Planing a dry run before starting can help.👍

I think my silliness came from being too much involved in resin creations for the past year and doing less regular paint pouring - so I thought I’d get away with short cuts - but the camera got me 😂😂

Hi Aly, you’ll love it- so just so fun doing something a bit different abs watching what happens. I think I’m going to have an opportunity to the next version of this creation today- (Wednesday 2/10) I’m looking forests to seeing what the outcome is - plan is... white base, spray paint down in some areas and spray paint mixed up - and cloud pour, tilt! I’ll have a lovely twin set. In one more week- we’ll resin cost the first one and see how the mirror effect looks under resin - I predict it’s going to be awesome!

maybe if you spray the mirror paint in a cup( pure..no floutrol) and then layer it in the dirty cup..it will come out more!?have you tried that? i think i have seen someone do that.

and " dirty artist" with the video " spiegel effect 2" sprays it on top of the paint pour..and than moves the paint around a bit...witch makes it come out a little more...an idea maybe??

Yes, please try the direct spray as you mentioned. Your painting came out beautiful, and you can see the effects once it was in the house. What size canvas was you using? Thank you for sharing

I have looked 1 or 2 places here but so far haven't been able to find it but I'm sure if I look harder I will have better luck . Hehehe I’m glad your feeling like interacting - it’s a good idea isn’t it - that cardboard run of catching! I’ve used it lots before and made some amazing ring pours from the left over paint. ~ amazing what we can do. I’ve also revered dipped into it!

Be careful putting the mirror paint into plastic cups. It will melt it.

Yes - she does, I didn’t think it would look so effective standing out more- I really like the subtle flickerings - they do stand out - just very hard to capture. It was really fun I’ll definitely do another video using it soon in the way I suggested in the video.

Hi Dianne - great question - in my next video I’ll show you - til then let me tell you it’s an art supply that helps thicken up paints it looks like really thick pva glue but it’s lots creamier and has uv protection in it so there’s no risk of cracking or yellowing over time.
