Do you ever wonder if you strip those big spools of wire just for them to be turned into spools of wire lol. Love the videos man!
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
from what I understand copper wire will be turned in to copper pipe and not more wire.
@murlbailer3755Ай бұрын
If I can I strip the aluminum. It all adds up. 👍
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
I strip it all.
@nikkolausАй бұрын
You need to get them like a little garden rake or somethin to help them pull the stripped material over to the edge of the table.. Not only would it reduce abdominal fatigue from the repeated action of bending over the angle-iron at the edge, but it'll also reduce shoulder damage, and reduce possible impact and cutting with material coming down the dump chute. When you're having to reach that far over to pull material towards you, it seems like the side of your head is right in line with stuff coming down...

I saw a machine stripper just like yours today.Only difference the pully on left side had another pully attached with long belt that went to a spool (cardboard)that winds the copper onto the spool as you feed the stripper.No clutch but some type of limiter like a dimmer switch the guy said.Will send pics to your email.
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын

I like your new metal scrap bins, it looks like it’s making life so much easier for Oliver and Steve to pull the copper into. Are these metal bins a new investment or they only on loan? If you’re not able to keep the bins, I think you need to build or invest in a couple. I know these bins are big and take up a lot of room, but it looks like it’s a timesaver rather than stuffing stripped wire into the barrels. I’m sure it’s also easier to empty them. And I bet they hold up a lot better than those cardboard bins.
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
They are my customers bins unfortunately but they are nice. I am looking to make some.
@mrMacGooverАй бұрын
It was interesting at the end when you had a different camera angle and stripping the big gage colorful wire zooming through the stripper.
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍

Oliver is not the guy you need in the shop if there is a fire. He would just keep working and not say anything.
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
😂😂😂😂
@dwaynefowler7093Ай бұрын
i think that if you had two holes the same it would be even faster to strip or you canfix it where you can strip two sizes at once.
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
it would be hard on the big stripper but the one bolted to the side will strip 2,3 & even 4 at once

So I've been calling electrical contractors in my area to see if they're giving/selling any wire/scrap and they've all pretty much have said no. I see you get a lot of your scrap from electrical contractors so do you have any tips?
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
I don't think any electrical contractor will give copper away. lol Watch my first few live streams I answer questions and explain how I got the customers. I will tell you it is an up hill battle and I explain why. Good luck.

Hey man, when the stripper is too tight and it shreds and needles it up why is that bad? Like cant all the needles just be swept off the table into whatever bucket/bin you have? Or what i am not understanding
@ProjectShopFlАй бұрын
It's hard on the machine and hard on the hands when you get stabbed. lol And yes it can just be swiped in to the bin.

So I’ve been doing some thinking about the channel,love all the content you are putting out if I could change smth I would say longer episodes and at least twice as many. I know you are pressed for time so I say you bring in a guy,he has to be there like all the time,if you aren’t there he has to wait in the parking lot all the time,you could show up at any time 🤷♂️ He’s an intern for the channel so he doesn’t get paid at all,and he films everything around the shop and uploads/edits everything you do nothing,oh and he’s a GoPro wiz..thoughts?
