En fantastisk uppenbarelse i ett fantastiskt skick. På sin tid en framsynt konstruktion med framgångar i motorsporten som i sin tur stärkte varumärktets marknad. bilwebauctions.se/hostauktion...

The 8's were always smoother than the 6's. But the engine was only about a 250 so to get power you needed a more aggressive cam and then quiet everything down with a LOT of boost. Like at the time a BIG S.C.O.T. or a Oberhausen. But belt driven blowers in those days were really limited to 5 lbs of boost, a 7 or 8 lb blower was usually a crank driven monster My uncle had the 6 with Drive Master auto shifting trans and it worked well if you had the dealer maintain it. The oil filled "wet" clutch was smooth but could need replacement if your wife "rode" constantly or if you "popped" the clutch too much. But in the final analysis, you had your far the safest car on the road and a vehicle which had knockout acceleration AND would around curves 20+ mph FASTER than any other car on the road with the possible exception to all out sports cars like a D Jag or some exotic sports job from Italy. Yes It was THAT fast
