I'm thinking a clear application a long the deep color edge with warm colors could give movement without changing color composition or adding more color. That's a tool I'll try out in my tool kit in the future when a piece reaches the stage where the colors or area have run out of energy. I'd probably mix Floetrol. -- Gloss Medium with a few drops of cell activator medium; and 3-4 drops of cold, distilled water. I would mix this Floetrol and Gloss, etc. to the consistency of the colors used in the piece. I would probably also add 2-3 tsp. clear/untinted pre-mixed Pouring Medium in too. I mix very, very slowly based on theory that if I don't add air bubbles, there will be fewer for me to remove.

That’s gorgeous Chris. Do you think it’s worth the price of Aus floetrol when you get such great results with silicone when swiping? 😊
@carolinewaterstone2624 Жыл бұрын
Thinking about it, is Aus floetrol more for lacing than cells?
@ChrisJeszeck Жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree with your observation...it creates what I would call lacing rather than cells. If you do the bloom though (which I don't), I think it would be worth the investment. 😊

I've heard these ready-mix paints dry quickly. How long does it take your painting to cure with the added Floetrol & glue mix?
@ChrisJeszeck3 жыл бұрын
The usual 3 or four days to dry to the touch after adding F&G, longer to "cure", just like the others. 😊
