Thank you for taking the time to make this video. This looks like a great little pattern and so simple. I remember when I first started tying flies over 50 years ago. I had little or no money, but I did have sewing thread and a little chicken hackle. Basically that’s all I used. I caught fish and lots of them. Over the years I have learned to tie more complicated patterns and enjoy using them, but your video is a good reminder that it might be time for me to go back to simpler times. Thank you so much.

I tied 4 of these the night before a session at Tanfield, which is usually dead in the afternoon with no wind, a flat calm. After about 4 hours, I tied the green headed buzzer under a duo and caught on the very first cast. a very confined take and a large splash which I managed to hook. Many thanks, I am now a convert to these crisp packet headed buzzers, because I rarely if ever catch anything on buzzers.

Thanks for that William, remember you don't need to spend a lot on your fly fishing stuff, I've had more fish on a £45 set up than people on £300 rods and £300 reels, hope everything goes well for you and you have a quick recovery. If you email me via my about tab on the home page al send you some stillwater flies to try out and you can tell me how they fished in your neck of the woods. Cheers Steve I went to pennine yesterday. myself and one of my followers used the buzzers for a short time, but no luck, so we switched to snakes and that then got us the fish. I purchased a some of these from your eBay sale.even though I for my own flies. Always better actually seeing the original. any way i tried one yesterday they were bloody deadly after an hour or so with nothing I put one on and just cast out and reeled in ready for a move and bang fish on. Then when I moved to another lake again first cast one pull to straighten line bang another bugger. They ruined my day as no catch and release and only a 2 fish ticket. I won't be using them again unless a blank in looking likely lol thank you sir.
