there are so many halo halo dessert. actually you can customized it depends on what u like to add.. rice flakes, puple yam, jelly, macapuno, leche flan, evap milk or condensed, sweet corn, banana, sweetened beans, ice cream, fruits like papaya, sweet potato, nata de coco, chick peas, yellow mango, jack fruit, coconut milk.

Razon is really number 1 when it comes to halo-halo. It only has few ingredients but the taste is really good. Their shaved ice are also more fined than other halo-halos.

We also have kakigoori here, but I don't think many people recognize it that way because it's also similar to western snow cones. Anmitsu is a bit harder to come by, also because the Korean version (bingsu) seems to be more popular. Halo-halo was actually brought to the Philippines by the Japanese through kakigoori, so I guess it's a Filipino-Japanese invention. Another icy treat in the Philippines is what we like to call ice scramble. It's pink-colored milky ice topped with powdered milk, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, etc.

@Odell Mateo hey hey, it's not pekpek, because pekpek is a sensitive Tagalog word, I guess it's kwek-kwek and not pekpek. Kwek-kwek is not a dessert it's just a typical street food made from quail egg and sometimes from chicken egg

Razon's halo halo is the best for me even though it does not have many ingredients.. the sweet banana is so good and the shaved ice is very thin. The typical halohalo (with many ingredients) is also good as well but Razon's is one of the best

Mana, actually the Halo-Halo was first introduced in the Philippines by Japanese living in the here, that was before the war. During that time there was a Japanese community living here, mostly in the City of Manila in Escolta. Through the years we changed the flavors to suite the Filipino taste😊
