Awesome looking fish! I had that same issue on my 125 gallon with particles floating around after installing the FX6. I redirected the "out" returns toward the surface of the tank and it helped big time and also have better surface agitation.

I use hang on back filters on all my smaller tanks. I have canisters on my big tanks because the volume of water they move. My hang ons I have to replace cartridges constantly and the canisters I just open up every couple of months and replace half of the media

Your probably right but I'd rather have as much filtration as I can get on the tank for now. I have different fish in it now, as since this video two have passed. The tiger oscar is still in there, two marble achara/tsn hybrids, and a massive clown knife. I know it's too small and I've just been lazy and unmotivated for a long time but I'm snapping out of that.

Hook up that FX4 also. And get a tidal 110 to put in the middle filled with floss. And buy a python

@@EpicConspiracy I wish I knew. I fed it the one night and the next morning it was just sitting at the bottom, must have just passed when I found it. Its body was wasnt stiff yet but it was breathing. When I took it out to measure it a rock fell out of its mouth but if it choked on a rock I'm guessing the rock would've stayed in its mouth.

@@Qsteffa524 I had two Oscars a black and a white about 20 years ago in a 75 gallon then they got too big had to give them away but they are bad ass fish if I had to choose now I would choose the Oscars. Good video keep it up man

Yeah I guess there is. Sorry this video is old I don't remember anything anymore. It's an aqueon circulation pump it's either the 1650 or the 1250 I'm not exactly sure. I know those Oscar's did not like it so I'm sure I took it out after awhile

Get a Python kit with extra hose extensions to help you fill your tank.

I dont have it anymore because the box to it is messed up but all my tanks have aquaneat led lights. This one was the 72 inch one. They used to be light $80 on Ebay but very hard to find anymore

Helps with the biological filtration, anything porous the beneficial bacteria can live within to help breakdown ammonia and nitrites. Basically a very good home for the bacteria to live on

@@CarolinaSkol Probably? I always order off ebay like 2-4 pounds at a time 3/4" or the size of a quarter. Either way just rinse/dunk them in a bucket of clean water that's what I do. The water will turn super red

In a 125? No. The most I've had was 2 in the same 125gallon with other fish. This tank is very overstocked based on the fishes sizes. I really need to get my pool pond up or thr 240 going

I’ve heard many mixed opinions on tank sizes and this and that and the other thing about how it comes to aggression of each fish or them pairing up etc but think it really comes down to how much space they’ve got. Sorry I never saw this comment. The tiger oscar is probably around 14" and the red oscar was about 13" unfortunately the red oscar has passed away.

Yeah I know. I have a 240 acrylic I built a stand for and rebuilt the sump for it but there's a problem with it now, it will be in my next video. At this point I'm shooting for just skipping the 240 for now and setting up the 10 foot pool pond
