Imperialism, but every state only represented once. Combine rosters from all D1 teams to form a team equal in quality to the average of the teams in that state. Include FBS and FCS teams. This could be an interesting off-season video series. You could do a video or a few videos on roster construction for each state and then do the tournament. If a state (maybe a few of the NE states) do not have D1 teams even in FCS, you could construct rosters using the 5 closest D1 schools to the center of that state. States with powerhouse teams like Alabama would come closer to the pack due to the smaller schools. Some states would have just FCS rosters representing. Some states may only have 1-2 schools representing. Other states like Florida, Texas, and California would have many schools. Some will have FCS only. Some states may have to burrow schools from other states. It could be a very interesting imperialism although I know the roster construction would be a big project on its own.

As an Ohio State alumnus, I was pretty disappointed with how the season ended for the Buckeyes.
