Absolutely amazing! I was there this year supporting Steve Ireland and getting my eye in seeing what it's all about..... I'm entering next year, 24hr team class. I want to raise money for the air ambulance that saved my life and give something back to them. Awesome video mate!! Really helps me see all the parts I couldn't this weekend! Well done mate!! Absolute legend!

Steve had a bloody good race and won didn’t he? That would be awesome to do a 24hr team and as soon as you have a link for raising money let me know 🤙🏼.

@@EnduroTravelR No way!!! 6.5hrs in then bang! 🤦‍♂️ It's not surprising though considering how much stick the bikes take over the course of the race... mental! Yeah Steve was unreal! Think his longest pit was 10 mins when he came in at 7am to change his kit... no idea how he managed! I'm looking forward to next year but not sure if it will be do-able with one arm? Guess we'll see! 🤣🤣

Yeah they get beaten pretty hard throughout. I have no idea how he could do that, it’s actually insane. It not only the physical it’s the mental game of just going round and round the same route over and over. Would be awesome for you to give it a crack. I’m sure you’d be fine mate. Where there is a will and passion there is a way! 🤘🏼

Yeah it’s a east course and it’s more focused on being able to do it for 12-24 hours straight. A great event for sure. Search Dawn to Dusk Enduro on Google and it will bring up all the details. 🤘🏼

@@EnduroTravelR that's right I was in Vets marathon (140) as the rows go back it's the other classes, I only got 6 laps in I've hardly rode since covid just a few evenings after work I was a broken man by 1pm I did go out later but got lost gave up went back to the pits

@@EnduroTravelR 😂 😂. TBH I surprised myself a little I felt good throughout just the last few laps were torture on the arse. Gel seat next year to overcome that. Having been a regular night shift worker in a past life helped I think.

Haha yeah I did hear your talking about the old seat in your video. I sat for lots of the race and was expecting my area to hurt more than what it did. Imagine the extra hours made all the difference. Yeah the night shift experience might be the secret ingredient. I’m definitely going to get myself fitter for next year!

@@EnduroTravelR being comfortable is key from my experience this year I learnt a lot throughout. The bike was great but I think I’ll be on a different weapon next year and more fuel efficient to stay out longer. I think I got the food and drink side of things right though. Keep on on it dude 😀✊🏻

Yeah I did exactly the same. Lots of lessons learned for sure!! I actually pitted after every single lap bar 1. Had my fitness and strategy all over the place, but also paced myself well energy wise for the duration so just need to tweak here and there. We will definitely get a ride out sorted soon! 🤘🏼

Yeah it wasn’t too bad it’s just very long and it’s much more about endurance and stubbornness than anything 🤣 I ride it again this year but broke down after 6 and half hours 🙈.

No worries at all! You’ll love it. A couple of my mates are singed on for December but don’t think I’ll be there. First event is always a tough one. We actually all turned up to this one with too little fuel. Had to send someone to get more 😂

Still contemplating whether to do the flowing track or the one with more hills out of the two Saturday races. Thanks for the tip with the fuel, although I live pretty local to the race so have plenty of people to bring more.

The hill is one definitely sound more fun to me, but depends how confident you feel and I suppose. That’s lucky that you live pretty close to there, next time we’re up in that direction may drop you a line and see if we can go for a bit of a shred!

what a crazy race well done on getting it done! Some of those dusty straights were sketchy AF. I bet this type of races can be boring (same track) but also a good way to improve your lines choice every laps! PS: you don't want a similar start at Erzbergrodeo :)

I would obviously feel bad showing you guys up on that one… although in a more realistic view you guys are crazy and got a lot of respect for that 🤘🏼 Super keen to head back to Scarry soon. The hand is back to normal and want to get those skills up. Gonna need some serious teaching to get me anywhere near thinking about a 24hr race.
