I have a doubt,there we leave 42 π/2 and write cos π/3 and sin π/3.we use quadrant to determine their sign but where did the(-) minus sign in π/3 went,in some sums we use them by taking the minus out for sin but not cos . why didnt we do it here.

Bro ur doubt absolutely right but also arg= alpha so that were written and also not written the value 42π/2 because of this value substitute for nochange in sin and cos.

Sir i have one doubt In sum no. 2.31 (i) we haven't check the sign of cos and sin ,it has even multiple of pi so no change that's ok ,then for its sign we have to check which quadrant the teta lies but we haven't done this step sir .so i can't understand sir
