Nice one :) good to see you used a proper buck direct from the batt feed too, many folk taking 5v/12v direct from the spare board ports or existing lamps are finding out the expensive way that it can blow the board because no one has any idea what amperage they can provide. I'm doing similar to yourself, running a 150v > 5v buck on my EX30 to supply some LED drivers. I've soldered my 134v feed though, not overly keen on those pin type quick connectors you used but thats just me. The real time gets taken up in working out where to mount everything neatly, making sure it's water/splashproof and doesn't have any failure points. I liked the way you laboured the point about high voltages/currents - I agree - not to be messed with!

Niceee I was think first using a 5v buck my I think my phone fast charges at 9v or 11v or something so figured this would give me more options I usaly solder too it doesn't get much better condition than solder but I have had good results with there pin connectors and there so East to remove😅

Do you reckon there would be room to put the converter inside the mobo housing? Been thinking about doing this to my own T4

Maybe room but it would definitely be abit of a squeeze I'm not sure if you could really fit it if it's the same one Maybe if it was one that was half the size Also you probs don't want to be adding to much more heat in there if your using it close to its mad power But it would look cleaner If I was trying to make it as clean as possible I would cut a square out of the underside of the seat There's loads of extra foam in it

Shouldnt the switch for the buck converter be connected to the live wire and not the ground?

I had the fuse blow alot more that way Not sure why🤔

I just want a usb port

A usb port that that tastes like a real usb port😜 I felt the same but then I figured this way I can run more stuff like inflate a kyack or something 😅
