Good job ! i did the same thing and stuck it on an SNES clone. I can also use it solo without powering on the SNES.

its the quality of this displays any "good"? i dont know what to expect for 5 bucks, im planning in using one of those to play games with a pi zero
@engibored32072 жыл бұрын
It's good enough to play games but if you need to read text it's quite bad, i don't know if it's because mine arrived damaged or if it's the actual default quality, but i'can barely read the shell text. I would suggest a 3.2 inch touch screen module i got one for 10 uds and the quality is way better it's just a bit harder to configure and there isn't a library that allows to use the touch screen functionality yet but it's totally worth it

can i use 7inch lcd in this same bord after removing this 4inch lcd??🙏 Please reply sir.😀
@engibored32073 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what do you mean and I'm no expert but from what I think I know: you can't use the board of a smaller screen with a bigger screen you'll probably need more pins since the bigger the screen the bigger the number of pixels you need do control you might be able to do the same modification to the 7 inch display though but I've never done it and I don't know if it works you might end up killing your screen so before trying do a bit of research I'm not responsible for whatever you might end up doing after reading this.

Hi, how can I know which monitors support this conversion? I opened up mine today and there is not this IC on it. The closest to power has more voltages like +11v and -11v like a diode is in front of it. Then there there is a 5v pin 0.8v pin GND of course. Forgot to measure the last one. But connecting 5v to that pin didn't power the monitor unfortunately. Just minutes before I started the conversion i tried it with 12v and there everything worked

I don't know, when buying these Chinese monitors it's basically a lottery as there are different board versions and you don't know which one you are getting until you open it. I don't know what specific board you have but this page might help as it contains different screen models and ways to do the 5v conversion : www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php/GBZ_Screen

Which is better, jump to 5volt or use step up 12 volt?
@engibored32072 жыл бұрын
they are both valid solutions to the problem, it depends from what do you have at your disposal and from your components. just keep in mind that when you are stepping up your voltage you are also stepping down your current. So the more important parameter here is probably the current that your battery can safely provide. Also keep in mind that such current should be enough to power your particular application. if you are using a 3.7 V lipo battery like I did. I would go with the jump to 5 V and then step up the battery voltage to 5V since those batteries can't usually provide huge amounts of current. Also as usual know that I'm no expert ;) this might also help you : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boost_converter

Can I connect the output pins of tp4056 to raspberry pi directly and at the same time if I connect a step up board to convert 5v to 12v for monitor . Will it work ? Will it get enough power ?
@engibored32073 жыл бұрын
I don't know in theory it should work but keep in mind that the raspberry pi works on 5v and everything above it will probably kill it. if you want to try that, do your thing but do not connect the pi and check all your input and output voltages with a multimeter if they are 5v or below it's a good sign but you might still end up killing the pi. Personally I would use a screen at 5V (or at 12v but modified to work with 5v) directly connected to the pi.

@@engibored3207 thank you so much 😊 I have one last doubt that is it save to use lipi battery with tp4056 as it is made for charging 18650 lion battery . I have a 3000mah mobile battery lying around can I use it ?
@engibored32073 жыл бұрын
@@pragyanmehta7331 to be honest I've no clue about this last one ahah. Try to google it and see what comes up. from my personal experience the tp4056 might overheat and catch fire. It might have something to do with the capacity or some other spec of the battery I don't remember. The battery I used has 5000 mah and it is waaay to much, the more the charge goes down the more the module will heat up while charging. I've no idea if the battery is also endangered but be really careful with both don't leave them unattended until you are sure they work and be ready if they catch fire or explode. I would personally choose a battery and a charging module with protection that are made to work together just to be safe. even if in theory if the charger can provide the right charging spec for the battery it should work fine(mainly charging voltage and current)

If you have 5V yes if you have a higher voltage you'll need to lower it if it's lower you'll have to raise it the important thing is not frying the pi
