Follows Cliff Drive to Beach Street through the beach and boardwalk area of Santa Cruz. At 1.7 miles this is the shortest drive of any video I've produced. All music info and FAQ's are in the closing credits.

I just moved away from Santa Cruz after living there for four years and this video makes my heart ache. West Cliff Drive was my favorite walking/running path. There is something about the classic beach town vibe the city has that makes it so unique and appealing. I do really miss it dearly.

What a coincidence. I was on Beach St for an early lunch this morning, when this video popped up in my alert notices. Pulled over and watched! Nice video, dude!

I love the way you narrate the video and let the watcher know where you are and where you're going. Most of these travel videos don't do that nearly often enough.

I thought I recognized that first part you sped (😁) through! Over by the surfing museum. This is my hubby and my favorite stomping ground! (Miss going there!) Did you guys get a chance to hit the boardwalk while there? Also, love the music!

Great video. Loved this tour of Cliff Dr and Beach St, Jim! I just wonder, is the railroad you see as you hit Beach St. used for freight trains, or just for scenic passenger trains into that part of Santa Cruz? I'm guessing the latter, based on what I saw when taking a quick check on Google Maps. And please tell me you did film at least some portions of California Hwy 1 between Carmel and Morro Bay!

Nice tour and great Hardcastle track. Totally forgot about that one. 3:36-pay no attention to the guy with the camera!

Wow, another exciting tour, how did you get the aerial shots of the amusement park and water front you displayed at the end of the video, did you use one of those remote control helicopter cameras?
@Freewayjim6 жыл бұрын
Sorry I missed this comment James. Those shots were taken by me with a DSLR from the 6th floor of the Dream Inn where we stayed, it overlooks the beach, wharf and pretty much everything else in the area looking to the southeast.

Excellent video! Interesting to see the more common "east-coast style" lampposts at 2:43 (with the two bars) rather than the standard one-bar California ones. I've seen them in Coronado island in San Diego, too...must be exclusive to California beaches.

Thanks, yes I filmed 2 hours worth of CA-1 along the coast in the Big Sur region, a 22 minute video of the highlights will be up next Friday.

Oh it's A LOT different than anything on the east coast and a must visit, wish I went sooner to be honest.

Another reason why California would be a great place to visit. It has to be different there than it is in Ocean City, MD.
