The thing I respect most about Mr. Sandman is that unlike all the other boxers, there wasn’t really anything special about him, he’s just a REALLY good boxer

yeah he doesn't outright cheat or use dirty tactics like some of the other fighters (though a few are fairly clean, Joe, Von Kaiser and Hondo for example play by the rules, Don Flamenco is a 'maybe' if it wasn't for the perfume.) the most you could probably get him on is his smack-talking in the ring... though that often depends on the venue.

Fun fact, he's actually the only boxer in this game other than Mac who doesn't break a single rule. Closest he gets to an infraction is his Title Defense attire is debatably improper: it could be argued there isn't a clear enough contrast between his waistline and the shorts below, but it could also be argued the stripes create a clear-enough contrast. Edit: Thanks to the power of a friend who is a boxer, Mr. Sandman is in fact the ONLY boxer who doesn't break any rules. Mac doesn't necessarily "cheat", but he turns his back to his opponent during his Star Punch: whether or not it's deliberate is debatable, but in a boxing match with rules it would earn him a warning for the first time and cost him the match if he kept it up. Since it's illegal to hit your opponent in the back in a proper boxing match, turning your back to an opponent is akin to taking a dive since you're basically forcing them to either break a rule or not hit you.
