From some of my girl friends constantly pestering me to let them go do my makeup, to a fellow student telling me I would just be pretty if I wore it, I'm honestly concerned for the way women view themselves. I guess pale skin was a sing of “pureness”, especially in Eastern Asia, so people would try to lighten their skin. Today, we all know your skin colour doesn’t make you better or worst than anybody else (or at least that’s what we all SHOULD know), but the pale makeup just stayed in the eastern-Asian culture. 😁
