I hated Kiss so much at the time( I was only one of a few that would openly admit it back in 1979 at my high school, ,they were so popular ) that when a girl I was infatuated with - and had also wrote a love letter too -hey I was 15 - responded too me that she had won two free tickets to see Kiss at the VFL stadium at Glen Waverly in Melbourne in 1980 and would I like to go I said no way, I can't stand Kiss, hey I was into New Wave, Post Punk and Sixties music, Kiss were part of the enemy, - but hey, I was so stupid, I missed out on a cool date with a cute chick - lol.

Yeah, a lot of people hated them, and for good reason. Robert Plant is a poser. Pagie average. Jones is a top-notch musician. bonzo, great drummer. Nothing more. Jones is the best true musician and gets the least credit.

@@Fuxerz Oh, Led Zeppelin ar e fundamentally ridiculous - I used the phrase "Glorious stupidity" to describe them in a recent video. But that was part of what made them work, what made them larger than life. I also think Page was a little better than average.

The band went on into the 70s without Morrison, but of course they were a 60s band. I'm 74 but I haven't lost my memory - yet. The Doors played a concert at my college a few weeks into my freshman year in 1967.

Wasn’t a fan of Kiss, but you’re way off on the other bands. Besides who listens to critics to decide what bands to listen to. Joy Division ? Who were they? Some of the bands came after Vietnam with a country that was tired. There’s a reason most of these bands songs are still played today and will still be played in the future. Not all are still played some were a reflection of the time period. I know as I’ve heard them all when their songs hit the airwaves, except for Joy Division (never heard of them).
