Honestly I didn’t see many people give the Chanticleers a chance to win this game. To beat a team that had been as dominant as BYU was amazing. Remember Coastal is not even 4 years removed from being in the FCS. Maybe the best story of the season.

I didn't see the hype with BYU. They played one decent team which was Boise State. CCU won against Kansas, Raging Cajuns, and App State. Kansas is a bad team, but still have more talent than CCU.

Yeah CCU isn't one of the big dog schools but they got heart and fight and they're proving this season that while they might not be a powerhouse, they certainly aren't to be underestimated. Two upset wins over ranked teams this season is extremely impressive

I think thw conference only scheduling mixed with this concept is great but the logistics of this every year involving class and preparing a field and tv scheduling would make it nearly impossible to consistently exist

BYU just simply had the ball run down their throat. 281 rushing yards on 54 attempts.

And still put up only 22 points. This is hands down game management. CC put up less than 100 pass yards, they were averaging 200+ per game up until now. That's not an accident. They wanted to 1) reduce risk of turn-overs and 2) deprive BYU ball by eating up the clock. They ground out that win like a wrestler in MMA (now what I would call "down their throat" action). CC showed that they had a better game plan and/or coaching staff and the talent to pull it off. BYU made no meaningful adjustments. Check Mate.

Both teams came to battle. They seemed evenly matched. I’ve been watching both of them this year and Coastal still surprised me. I HATED Coastal 94 Gunter wailing on Wilson at the half. Gunter got called for a late hit out of bounds against Wilson in 3Q. 94 should have been ejected for the 1st brutality! Still, congratulations to Coastal. Congrats to BYU too. But Coastal gets the W. This is probably the smallest stadium byu has played a game at in 35 year's. Teams like Byu pay schools this size the cost to travel to play them in early season games. Some of the 7a high school stadiums are almost as big and they lost the game. Ccu is good but that's embarrassing
