I have 2 of those Jim Thorpe All American cards I purchased maybe 20 years ago. They are very well centered and the corners are great. I’m just scared of submitting them and getting bad grades as PSA seems tough on vintage now. Thanks for sharing your submission. Good content. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, they totally did change the spacing on the lighthouse slabs. Drives me nuts. Just another little subtle nudge to let collectors know that this slab is newer than that slab. I get that the current gen slabs are probably getting a little long in the tooth anyway for how often they normally change them, but you would think it might make more sense to have gone ahead and done that instead of changing something as inconsequential as the spacing.

Papa Rossi, I could not agree with you more about the new PSA font and spacing. Admittedly, I suffer from a slight case of OCD (as most collectors do). But the change in font has been fairly drastic. The letters don’t seem as bold and appear smaller and closer together. Did you also notice that the printer at PSA appears to have been set too high or low, depending on which way you’re looking at it. Regardless, the wording on a label with three lines of text is too low and almost runs right into the PSA logo at the bottom of the label. For a company that places so much emphasis on centering, you would think that they could at least center their own labels! I feel your pain, brother…Lol Tom
