#13 Christmas market Ekenas castle/ Julmarknad på Ekenäs

Ekenäs Slott is a genuine fairytale castle, dating back to the 17th century. We have visited the very popular Christmas market at the castle which happens every November. There is also a popular jousting tournament arranged every spring here. The castle is just 20 km southeast of Linköping.
Second part of the film shows autumn in the city center park, called Tradgardsforeningen. We are picking Gingko Biloba leaves. Ginkgo is a very rare and unique temple tree with an ancient history. Already at the time of the dinosaurs there were several different ginkgo species, but the only living species among the ginkgo plants is the Ginkgo biloba tree. There is two of this trees in this park.
At the end there is also some minutes showing Tinnero Oak Woodland. This is a very beautiful recreation area very close to the city center with a lot of birds and other wild life.

This must be very different from how you have it in Malta. I suppose it's still warm there. A month ago we visisted Sicily, you can see the previous video, and it was very warm and sonny. We had three fantastic weeks there. Hope to see Malta also sometime.

I have heard that you have a lot of snow in the middle and north part of Sweden this year. I hope we in the southern parts will have a lot of snow also this winter. @@vendelflorin I think winter in Sweden is beautiful even on cloudy days. The quiet mood of eternity… 🤍 I like winter evenings, when the streets are very quiet, the snow glistens and golden lights shine everywhere 💫: lamps on the windows, outdoor string lights on balconies and terraces, light decorations on a trees. But it’s difficult to make a good video about this part of winter beauty, because of a darkness 😞

Thank you for your kind words. Kazakhstan, that is far away. Must be very different to Sweden. I have always wanted to go to Uzbekistan, Tadzikistan and Kazakhstan and around. Sounds very exotic and exciting. Unfortunatly my wife does not want to travel so far away from home any longer.
