I loved the Kenzzi, bought it 2 years ago and used it a lot. It really worked for me. Unfortunately I was using it the other night and was almost done with my thigh. It does get hot after some time! I usually give it a rest between areas to cool down. I was very close to being done, it flashed, and hurt very bad. When I looked at the area it had thrown a small piece of burnt plastic at my leg when it flashed. It obviously caused wound, very small, but I did have to scrap the small piece of plastic off my skin. I looked at the window where the light comes from and the plastic around the edges was burnt and pitted. It’s been like this for years but has never thrown a melted plastic piece at me. I threw it away after that, it did hurt my heart but I was not risking that again.

Guys, be careful of eye drops that take the red out. My ophthalmologist recently told me to NOT use those. Restricting the blood vessels can damage the eye. I hadn’t heard that before, just be aware!
@bunniejanie2 жыл бұрын
also, the more you use it, the more you will need to get the same effect because your eyes build up a tolerance to it.

I used to work as theatre nurse. Our eye surgeon always advocated use of cooled black tea to refresh eyes and also for start of eye infections if unable to get to a Dr. The tannins help refresh and soothe eyes, they are also a natural astringent and antibiotic. The red eye drops he always said were best for occasional use ie going out. Not for regular use. As it’s one of the things you can develop a tolerance to, and it’s not the best thing to use constantly (due to blood vessel restriction. Occasional use is absolutely fine,

* RE KENZZI: Please know that there are risks with using the Kenzzi, especially if you have tan skin or darker because of the nature of the technology. I like Shea (you're awesome, and I'm a fan), so this warning is only focused on Kenzzi. In addition, the RETURN POLICY is shockingly strict (for example, you have to use the device at least 6 times, for at least 60 but not more than 90 days, and make sure to take time/date stamped photos each time, so you cannot decide to return the device as an afterthought within the 60-90 day window). I'll provide more details about my experience and the return policy below, which is the polar opposite of the Amazon easy-return experience: EXPERIENCE: The device burned my arms on levels 2 and 3, and I have had hyperpigmentation on my arms ever since. Note that the burns actually didn't occur during the first use, so I thought levels 2 and 3 were fine per the instruction manual. Further, that session didn't feel any different than the prior sessions, so I had no idea that I would develop a problem with my skin -- it's also entirely possible that there was a cumulative adverse effect. I don't think this issue is addressed much, and frankly I mostly see the Kenzzi devices being given to very fair skin influencers who wouldn't know that others could experience a dramatically different result, so I hope this post helps to add to the conversation. I'm not even particularly tanned -- I'm half Caucasian / half Asian -- so I worry that someone who is darker than I am could have a severe problem. This is addressed a little in the instruction manual, which I followed very closely and still had a permanent adverse result. Everyone's experiences will vary, but please proceed carefully and research the Kenzzi device before making the decision to use it, and please don't automatically crank up the device to level 5 looking for more effectiveness if doing so could be problematic for your skin type. RETURN POLICY: Here is an excerpt from their return policy as of July 28, 2022: Trial our handset for at least 60 days from the date of delivery, but for no more than 90 days. You must complete at least 6 IPL handset treatments, with treatments being 1 week apart, and take a photo of the area/s you are treating before each of the sessions. If there are no noticeable results in hair reduction, email your 6 photos to us at info@kenzzi.com with your order number, and we will review your application. All 90 Day Money-Back Guarantee applications MUST be submitted within 90 days of receiving your KENZZI IPL Hair Removal Handset. ALL images MUST have valid time and date stamps If your application does not meet our return criteria, you will not be approved for a refund. Incomplete or illegible claims will not be refunded
@BCJadeite2 жыл бұрын
Most IPLs can't be used on darker skin unfortunately. It also doesn't work well for fair skin with light hair. The light is focused on the dark hair, however if you have dark skin and hair the light isn't made to differentiate. Same with light skin light hair. It is definitely frustrating, but unfortunately is an issue with IPL. I am shocked by that return policy though!! Maybe now thst they are on Amazon it will be easier, esp for prime members 🤞
@MarniMedia2 жыл бұрын
@@BCJadeite Thank you for your comment and being part of the conversation! :-) I think your point is well taken because some people probably shouldn't even take the risk if it likely wouldn't work for them. For me, I honestly wouldn't have minded the product not working (since it was so inexpensive compared to laser), but it was the damage that it did that was problematic. The instruction manual actually says that someone with my skin tone (light-medium golden undertone) should be in the level 1-5 range, starting at 1 and increasing in intensity potentially up to level 5. So everyone should proceed with caution, for sure.

I agree with what you said, I think there’s some at home devices that shouldn’t be sold for that reason, it’s now caused you permanent damage to your skin, I’m so sorry, I had laser hair removal done by professionals and had no issues whatsoever, it may of cost me more to have it done but I only need a touch up about every two years now after having 4 initial treatments, I’m tanned skin type with yellow undertones just for reference. I think it’s much cheaper to have it done here in Australia 🇦🇺 than over in the USA 🇺🇸.

The apple guard, saved my shoes. I have nude loafers and I wore the to my doc appt. They took blood and a drop got on my shoe. I was so upset when I got home and noticed, I wiped it with water and was like, well my shoes are ruined. The next day it was gone. The brown stain was just gone. I was so relieved. I also sprayed my suede loafers and it ended up raining that day and they got wet but looked perfect when they dried later. For the skincare fridge, just take it outside and spray paint it. not the inside but you can totally do the outside since it looks plastic.
