@@ultra3806 Honestly, did Grimm ever do anything wrong? His boss fights are hell, that's for sure, and he was kinda annoying for the Elderbug, but character wise he seems like a pretty nice guy. He just so happens to be the slave of a giant Australian flower that forces it to fight others, die and feed his flames to his child for it to grow and continue the cycle.

I wanna share something... personal. To yall. Back on 2018... my heart was broken. When I started seeing the world for what it trully was. A cruel place. That exact day... this song came out. During my anger, and sorrow... the song was there. And with it, it helped me let my anger flow and eventually release it. It gave me company when no one else was there. When everyone else had someone they loved by their side, while I was cast aside and seen as a black sheep. Ever since then, whenever I feel at my absolute worst... I play this to let my thoughts flow and release. I just want yall to know... if you ever feel like sh*t... maybe this can help you out. And if this song doesnt help... then try another one that does the same purpose for you. Music is magical... therapeutic... and the best medium to process and for your mind to lean on. And it can give you company during the harshest of times, nd serve as an escape of this cruel world. Thanks for reading. Ascended Markoth is harder than Nightmare King Grimm will ever be. Maybe it's my charm layout, maybe it's just because I tend to end Soul Tyrant at low soul while Failed Champion grants some free soul towards the end, maybe it's the absurd amount of practice I put into beating NKG on Radiant... Or maybe I'm just bad at platforming... let's just go with that one.

@@Grim-c8n I don't really see any evidence pointing towards him abducting any of the Troupe's resident. There may be stronger chance that some of them has joined the troupe by a deal of some sort(brumm) but either theory is yet to be proven. And to me it looks like Grimm was connected with the Grimmchild to start with (connected to the Nightmare heart), so he didn't take over the child body, he was just replacing the current him so the Troupe lives forever. Brumm's dialogue once hinted that Grimm was a slave torward the Nightmare heart, so chances are the real baddy here is the Heart itself. Outside that, i don't really see him doing anything of much harm toqards anyone so i would say he's just neutral,not evil

That's what I immediately thought, too! I think they sound similar because both are in the same key, D minor I believe, and have very similar progression and tempo. Given Larkin's strong background in Classical genre, I think it is an intentional decision on his part. And it is a great decision if that's the case. Larkin is just too good.

Proof that you don't need always need the decibels for a song to hit hard ...oopsie I just realized it acutally does go up in volume quite a bit at the end but my point is that even though it is very quiet throughout, at some point the drums kick in, faintly but assertively and that hits me like "boooowunkers babloop", which is not a word but rather a nonsensical series of letters that I just made up, but it describes my feeling pretty well.
