Put the same filter on mine ,good bit of kit for the money. It’s a MAF sensor by the way. Get your coolant hoses changed, yours look like they are the originals. The 2 that run from the header tank are especially vulnerable to bursting around the plastic joint - mine did! All sislicine now.

Yeah I new it was a MAF but taking so many mini video shots with the freezing weather just mushed my head, yeah its on my to-do list be for I re-map the car, in fact i'm doing everything first lol

Makes sense. Just ordered Dreamsciemce imap as I’ve done all the prep although my car was already mapped but not sure by who or what power so wanted a known quantity.

@@styusuf5671 Ar nice, yeah I bets its a nightmare having a pre mapped car with no information, what HP are you hoping to achieve? ive looked at the Handsets but I personally rather have a custom Map done on a dyno so the car is tuned to the exactly what the car is happy with.

Looking for about 300. Our cars cannot be custom mapped hence why I went with Dreamsciemce as you get a choice of 3or 4 maps.

@@styusuf5671 yeah 300 is a sweet spot, when I mean a custom map I ment by tuning it on the dyno, adjusting everything on a live feed instead of flashing them with a handset, Dreamscience can do this for £350

This video convinced me to buy this Ramair filter. Getting ecu off is a pain. It's fiddly and some screws are hidden in tight spots. The next problem I had was not being able to get the airbox out. I tried for 30 mins. If you have trouble, drop the radiator. There are just two bolts holding it onto the frame underneath. Took me seconds to get it out then. Sounds like a new car, I even get a bit of flutter sometimes. The turbo whistle get a bit annoying on the motorway though.

Getting the stock airbox out was a bloody nightmare. Wiring loom didn't have much play in it either. Ur video helped tho mate. What a difference in the noise. Fitted the de res pipe aswell. It's poppin and bangin now.. Got a mongoose section 59 arriving in the next few days aswell 👌

Cheers buddy much appreciated, its always feels good when you do the Mods to your car your self, but its never nice doing them in cold damp weather, I hope the MoT goes well let me know how you get on, yep will be doing the service video late January early February, plus everything that would be checked visually if it was being done at a garage, you will never pay for another service again once you have seen how to do it yourself unless you already know how.

@@ecp4538 Bought The Ramair kit the other day as it's a good price and fitted today. Wow, getting the airbox out was a ridiculous job. Dark by the time I finished but tested and sounds great. Throttle response better too and bit more torquey

Thanks for the help. I fitted this on my volvo s40 t5 (same engine) the ramair filter didn't fit though,i think the focus has more room on the right of the engine bay, i got a smaller filter but it's rubbing on too many wires for my liking

Hey buddy I'm glad it helped, that's a shame about the air filter, you could change the 45 degree silicone pipe that the filter fits to with a different angle piece, that could allow you to fit the filter in a different location

hi buddy I hope the videos helped, when you refitted the MAF sensor did you refit it the same angle it was when you removed the sensor?? you will need a diagnostics machine to remove the ESP Light

you were correct the first time, it is the maf sensor not the map sensor :)

Hey buddy not often at all (50000 miles +) and you have to put a oil coating on it as well, best tape to you dude is insulation tape. Hope this helps

Ecp get rid of the sound symposer and block the pipe up that makes a big difference to the sound of the car .... you don’t need it either as all it does is bring engine noise in to the cabin .... done mine, that and the 4 “ straight through helps

Yeah for what it does make a good difference mine makes an amazing turbo flutter 😍 haha, what intercooler have you decided to go for ? I’ve found two but undecided on which as with that I’d want to get the zonesport gill to make it stand out

What was the problem with the exhaust causing your issues you briefly mentioned. RS vas pipe kit would tidy the bay up a bit. Good vid 👍

Yeah the RS Vac pipe does make a big visual difference but they are a lot of money for what they are, it was todo with the resonating frequency but the main thing which is later found out was a rubbish map on the car that was causing it to over fuel

@@ecp4538 Not heard that happening to an st exhaust before but yours was not the norm milltek/mongoose/kms that many go for, rubbish map would cause all sorts of problems though. Friend has a mondeo 2.5t with bluefin stage 2, ramair filter,snabb crossover,airtec ic,decat with scorpian exhaust which dynoed at 295 so I would think thats where you will end up around, breaking the 300 seems a bit of a task.
