Those Wag9 greens are better than VB or Wap7 white monsters looks. Problem is IR produced more G9s in 2021 22 23 with freight priority and for Dunking EMD and Alcos in one go. However, IR has also imported WDG4G and 6G for better traction efforts. Believing VB and AB will replace all SFs or premium trains Wap7s are produced very slow in 2020 21 22 while huge force of P4 were retired prematurely in that year causing severe passenger loco shortage. However after mid 2023 P7s are produced again fast and we are seeing invasion by P7 in KJM like sheds. Wag9 is also having good haulage traction effort better than EMDs and Wap4 because of better version traction motors. For donkeys like 1200 KM in 24 hours with 40 stops trains like Kovai CSMT , NGC CSMT , MGR CSMT, Egmore CSMT like trains Wag9 is better as these trains run very slow with many stops and low priority runs.
