I have had a p12 for a few months now, however I have found that Disney+ & amazon prime mostly and also and Netflix seem to run Juddery and have an almost stop motion look like it’s running at 15 frames per second at times when your watching shows, can you confirm yours runs these buttery smooth?

@@TheShamRulz Disney plus I have found runs smooth after restarting the tablet, and then slowly gets more choppy as time goes by, ao you have to keep restarting it, Amazon prime I choppy all of the time, Netflix is choppy too, it’s a real shame because the picture quality is really good, however I wish I had spent an extra £200 and have decided to get a Galaxy tab s9fe+, if your after a tablet to mainly watch streaming apps I would avoid this tablet, it’s just not very well supported either.

@@aramimartinez3199 The P12 is definitely better than the P11 gen 2, unless you go for the P11 Pro gen 2, then it's a toss up between the two. The P12 and P11 Pro have 8Gb of RAM, while the P11 has 6GB. That 2 extra GB of RAM is worth a lot when working with the tablet.

I bought the tablet and discovered that with certain wallpapers the image flickers on the dark areas of the Image. This also happens in certain menus with dark mode enabled. It's very strange, it seems like a software problem, because if I take a screenshot of the screen, in gallery, the picture is stable. I mention that the adaptive brightness mode is disabled. I had the tablet replaced and received another one exactly the same. Have you noticed this on your tablet?

I was considering buying this tablet but opted for the samsung tab s9 fe instead. This tablet might have a slight edge on audio and display, but lenovo just has a relatively bad track record when it comes to giving timely software updates for their products. And in general, I think samsung just supports their devices, software wise, for a longer period of time compared to lenovo. It's such a shame since this tablet seems to have a lot of great things going for it, but I just can’t compromise when it comes to that.

its true about samsung devices, I still have Samsug Tab S 10.5inch (2014) and note 5, both devices still working. I think in US. there is a law now that smarth devices must have at least somewhere in between 3-5 years of support (technical/OS/etc) after retirement or release of that generation. Just like what happen to LG V60 (smarthphone) retired in 2020, it wont get any more OS update after Android 13. For Apple, up too five years OS update, i just updated my Iphone XS max to latest iOS 17 hopefully Apple extend OS support for another 1 or 2 years. Totally agree what you said about Samsung and Lenovo...

@@syednizam6984 I’ve been using the S9 FE (10.9) for about a week now. It’s pretty smooth and definitely faster than I expected tbh. Writing with it is great! The spen feels really light and there’s little to no delays that I’m noticing when I’m jotting down some notes here and there.

Currently watching your review on this exact product. Considering I still have in my possession a Samsung S2 and a Samsung Galaxy Pro both of which work magnificently. I still have as yet to put the P12 through gaming rigors but based on your review I don't think I'll find many detractions for using this tablet as an all round entertainment device. From the printed literature from Lenovo it appears that there are replaceable parts which puts it ahead of many other tablets in the market. Would be interested in seeing your review in say 6mo or greater.

If you get a Chinese version you will get 2yrs updates... I think they don't make global versions or if they do they are not in large quantity and it appears it's not cost effective for them and most suppliers open the package and force install the global version on them without you knowing its not a genuine install from factory so you will not receive any updates on them obviously... So if you interested to receive future updates make sure purchase a Chinese version

I am deciding between this and the P11 pro 2nd Gen at similar price I have my eye on. Differences on the P11 Pro: + 120Hz OLED display ? Precision pen 2 as opposed to tab pen plus - Smaller, lower res screen - Smaller, 8000mAh battery - Less RAM (6GB vs 8GB with P12) Im wondering if any1 can advise. My biggest point of consideration is the screen and stylus. Im not too fussed about the OLED vs LCD, but would like the 120Hz screen cuz I hear the stylus experience is considerably better and that is pretty important for me. But, the 2GB less RAM and the smaller screen and battery are inclining me toward this P12. Which 1 is the better option? Also, does any1 know whether there is a difference in the functionality of the precision pen 2 and tab pen plus? Or any other major differences?

2023 - Phones the size of tablets, tablets the size of laptops, laptops the size of monitors and monitors the size of a TV. What is going on with this size fetish these days ? I have the Tab 11 Plus and it is a perfect tablet for what I use it for - basically Spotify, movies streaming on HBO and the occasional long Viber videocall. It is an excellent size for that and it is not too heavy. I wish it was a tiny bit smaller, really, but it is still not unwieldy. Now this P12 is just huge.... why ? If you can't hold it with one hand and use the other for the touchscreen, it means it is not a tablet anymore and is way too big. Not only it is bigger, I bet it is heavier, too. And the P11 Plus is not exaclty light, so this P12 will probably be too heavy to hold. Not to mention this P12 is basically the same as the P11 Plus in terms of specs, the upgrade is not small but it is not in the "WOW" category, either. Yet P12 is more expensive. Not even an OLED display.... in 2023... The only thing that is an upgrade is basically the addition of that fingerprint sensor and the bigger battery. The battery is under question, though, as the P11 Plus with a Helio G90T and 7000mAh lasts forever, so why the upgrade in battery size ? I guess they made it bigger and felt guilty to leave so much empty space insize, so they stuffed some more battery, lol. Really disappointed on this one. Hopefully the Yoga version (if Lenovo actually releases one soon) will be better. This is not enough for me to upgrade and lack of Android upgrades will not stop me from using my P11 as it would on a phone - it's just a tablet, so who cares, as long as it works. They should've put a faster and (more importantly) more efficient processor (maybe Dimensity 8100 ? Or SD 7gen2 ? ), more RAM (12GB at least, with this size and the multitasking capabilities of a tablet, why is 4GB even an option these days ???) and FFS put a 3.5mm jack back - this is a tablet, one of the main uses is media consumtion, you kinda need headphone capabilities when you are trying to watch a movie while people are sleeping. Perhaps it is good for drawing and such with that pen, but then again there are way better tablets for that task, so why bother with this one ? Crossing my fingers for the Yoga, but my expectations are low....

As you are so happy with your perfectly sized p11 Plus,... why would you need another "Yoga" ? too upgrade, for what ? I ask this seriously. I have an old 3th generation Ipad (2012) from 2012 which I use at the table where I don't have my pc which is upstairs. The Ipad is working okay but more and more websites and apps don't work anymore so I have to buy another tablet or laptop ! I don't need to hold the tablet in my hand so the size is of no problem.. @@eurovisie2010 I am not gonna upgrade yet, that's the thing. There are some that might want to get the new and shiny model, but this P12 is not enough of an upgrade to make them do it. I am gonna get a new one when my P11 Plus goes the same way as your Ipad - apps no longer working, etc. But I follow the latest releases to see what is being offered and where Lenovo are going with the new models. My last Lenovo tablet was still working when I gave it to my sister, after 4 years, and is still in use today. I am guessing it will be another 2-3 years before it needs replacing. The only reason I got the P11 Plus was my old tablet was WiFi model and with my new job I needed a 4G (at the time) one. It is 1 year old now and still works as new. Probably gonna use it for another 4-5 before I will need a new one. As for whether you should get a laptop or a tablet, well it depends. Laptops can do ANYTHING but unless you buy a good one after some research, most of the new ones run very hot on purpose. Guess why - run it at 80-90C for 2 years and the magic smoke is probably gonna escape at some point. Donno how Macbooks are in this department, never had one, maybe they are better. If you only use it for web surfing and media, don't bother with a laptop, that's what tablets are for. You can choose a small one for portability ( 8, 10 inch) or a pretty big one if you need it - recently I watched a review of the new S9 Ultra and that thing is MASSIVE lol. I have yet to see a tablet (except the very bottom of the barrel ones) that has a bad screen, which unfortunately is not the case for Windows laptops - you'd have to cough up the big bucks if you want a good screen. I've heard Macbooks have good displays so this may not be a case for you. A tablet does the same thing as a laptop, as far as regular daily use is concerned, but cool and quiet. Tablets also last longer imho. Now if you need to game on it, or maybe use some software for work that requires CPU power, you'd obviosly get a laptop, but that is a niche case. For my daily needs a tablet is perfectly fine, cheaper, with a gorgeous display, cool and quiet, I don't need a laptop for that.

I have this tablet and honestly for the price point this is very good compared to other tablets on the market that is more expensive. Lenovo is killing the game by making affordable tablets that have moderate processing power. I use this tablet and my Lenovo Chromebook plus together and my workflow has never been more efficient.

I have the last gen model and when I bought it they sent me two on accident. I was able to sell the other one to cover the cost of the first one haha. It is an awesome device, I use it with a dongle dac and IEMs to enjoy music. The screen is really outstanding even against my fold 4!

Asides the fact that Lenovo has horrible customer service and does not provide timely security updates and new android versions as promised, their devices are great. Some tabs haven't gotten any update since march 2023 no security updates, some haven't even gotten android 12L let alone Android 13, their devices are capable but limited by software, such a shame
