Bilgiri ranganatha swamy temple wildlife sanctuary takes its name from ancient ranganathaswamy temple. The bilgiri betta stretches from north to south . It is considered to be wildlife corridor that connects eastern ghats to western ghats which in turn facilitates the gene flow between population species inhabiting mountain ranges. The hills are covered with the variety of plant species including scrub, dry decidious , moist decidious, shola forest and montane grassland
