Mr. Bareau, I just want to say thank you for posting this video because now I actually grasp the idea of linear programming, especially the objective functions part. Without this video, I would still be confused and probably have never understood it properly. Thank you and keep posting more videos!

Finally, I am able to understand objective function, thank you so much. However, I have a question, my maths teacher used this method where he would draw line of the objective function and use a ruler and protractor to 'move' the line up the graph and see which point it hits first/last. Do we need to learn that or will I be okay just learning this method, as I find this easier?

The line method is lovely and has deeper understanding behind it, but it is fine just using this method.
