I'm just guessing but I think you contact for Weyerhauser. I worked for them in the woods in the seventies. Later I bought timber for a small company and was a wood vendor for them. Then I field tested saw for over twelve years. I enjoy your videos. Also only a true log cutter gets on his knees.

@20:14... What kind of trouble? Too wet? Very cool operation. You can even see where the trucks are. Do the guys at the mill complain when they get trees full of dirt from cleaning the road? 29:07 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, you guys darn well work, Tim. Logging sure is more than a typical 9 to 5. Productivity and economic viability demand it. It's good that you have the tools to maintain that productivity as well as the can-do attitude to do it yourselves. Are you waiting for a full load of "thumper" logs before you send them to the mill?

It's amazing to me how much technology is in logging now. When I started on the railroad in the early 90's there was no computers really to speak of in the locomotives. Then bam almost overnight it hit. Now you just sit back and let the computer figure it all out. Can you explain the ticket system ...are you limited on the amount of tickets, etc
@briangardiner1015
@briangardiner1015 4 жыл бұрын
It figures the last load and the ticket doesn't want to print. Luckily you got it sorted out. Just frustrating.

Rain just an excuse for the the guys to try an extra day off. Rain or not I'm heading to the woods to at least get something accomplished. Yeah, they get excited thinking they gonna get that extra day off til they see their paycheck the following week. They ask me" there must be a mistake"on the check,I graciously point out" remember when I called and told you to come on to work" the mistake is when you decided to take a rain day and sit at home.
