I've got the M2 15-inch Macbook Air and it's been great so far. I was a little worried about the 8 gb of RAM at first, but it hasn't been an issue at all so far. My only regret is the midnight color. I've never been bothered by other products that collect some fingerprints, but this model is pretty bad. I definitely wish I had just gotten the space gray or any other color for that matter.

I use mine daily for school, browsing, and movies, and software development. No issues with overheating at all. I don't use it for gaming, so I can't speak to how it would perform, but I also have an older M1 Mac Mini with 8gb of ram and Roblox ran great on it.

@@heraa3803I'm getting one for the same exact reason and don't run out and get the pro and spend so much if you wanna get a pro then go for the 2022 models instead but the 2024 airs are really good for roblox

just ordered this with the 16 unified.. I def dont need 16, but being as im gonna keep the laptop awhile, I def want to have a little extra... Right now , im using my 2015, 13" MacBook Pro with the intel. This thing is still running but I so desperately need a new one. Cant wait.. and thanks for the video!

But I think as an IT person you should consider 16 gb model like personally I use lot of heavy tasks like 10 chrome tabs, several docker running in background, xcode builds, etc.. sometimes radio astronomy as a hobby using SDR.

It's always a good idea to prefer ram upgrade over storage because you can always use external ssd whenever the storage gets full, which can't be done with RAM. 8gb + 1tb is pure insanity, idk what his workflows are but cmon.

yes, that is def a huge upgrade, as a 2017 MBA user. I just purchased a new M3 one to upgrade my current 2017 one (already lagging a fair bit with more tabs needing to be opened and no more software upgrades) with a 16GB RAM but kept 256gb internal storage. It would be pretty much a game-changing upgrade given its from an Intel to Apple Silicon with how much we saw from M1 itself, and aside from 2 design refreshes. Even the M2 would be alright enough but I decided to get M3 for "future-proofing".
