Another neat thing with the story modes boss fights. Small fry dosent attract attention from the first two bosses, but for some reason the third one is VERY magnetic to small fry. Kinda messes with their ai a bit too

I think thats because big mans boss fight is closer to a octoling npc than a boss fight like the toaster from splatoon two.

I don't know whether you've covered this before, BUT: At the beginning of every match, just before you launch the 1st time off the respawn points, the Inklings / Octolings get inside their pod. What's interesting though, is that each weapon type has a different animation for getting in the pod! For instance, Brellas dive head-first, where as Chargers push themselves upwards (since they hang below instead of standing up top). Please correct me if i'm missing something / i'm wrong!

Also worth noting, each expreso machine will be at a different angle depending on what weapon class the player is using! This is best seen with the Charger and Stringer classes as they are the most unique ones out of all of them. Some less obvious ones include the Rollers as the spawn point is actually upside-down like the Chargers, Blasters' spawns are rotated to the right 90º with the spawn point facing up, and Dualies' will be be facing backward with the spawn point upside-down!

Cuttlefish: (Still not sure how they sun-dried me while I was underground...) Callie: Wait. Did we just have this exact conversation, or was that just a dream...

Here's a neat little trick with one of the abilities you can upgrade! When fighting Big Man with the upgraded targeting system, immediately start hitting the red targeted one because all the yellow ones are fake. Don't believe me? Try this trick for yourself and soon enough, you'll breeze through the boss!

If you stand on the copy bot’s ink and press L, you won’t take damage. Press B to exit the menu, and if you jump right after the zoom out, you can jump full height even though you’re in enemy ink. With a specific timing, you can actually jump full height but still somehow manage to take a bit of damage. There’s prob more interactions I missed as well.

Here's another fun fact, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I'd like to comment on it: If you use a weapon that has the special ink storm and activate it, if you walk slowly your character will look down seriously and if you run they will change their expression to one of surprise, as if they are trying not to trip.

Here’s a cool musical secret! In certain story mode levels at specific parts, when Callie or Marie talk, I’m pretty sure the sound that plays is the same one from Super Mario World when you hit a hint block! I don’t know if this is a random occurrence, but it always seems to happen in the level where you have limited ink and can only use curling bombs. So, play that level and keep your ears open!

Small detail: in the salmon run, when you use your ink weapon, the floatie on your back starts to lose ink, but when you stop using your weapon, the ink comes back again

Did you know when you play the story mode, the rocket thrusters are yellow? However, as soon as you beat the final boss, the thrusters become blue. Even if you redo the final stage before you fight Mr. Grizz, the rocket thrusters are yellow.

I’m pretty sure since that’s a separate rocket not only from the looks, but also dialogue. Callie or Marie (I forget) says “who knew there’d be another rocket” or something along those lines. Plus, you can see the crashed pieces of the previous rocket in the water of Alterna

Pretty sure it’s because it’s a pre-rendered cutscene. The only thing that is not constant in that cutscene is the player agent because of customization.

1:17 if you look at the dialogue, i think it resembles the name of the idols. the text says "We'll keep a...shallow cut" i think this is a reference to their name, "deep cut"

I've been Cohozuna body-slammed through the stage before. I got pinned between two walls and Cohozuna and fell right through the stage, but I think it was one of the things that got fixed in the last update.

Remember how I said that Flyfish's buckets could be destroyed using the Inkjet a few [or more] episodes ago in the comments? Well, I discovered that you can also use the Crab Tank [specifically the L button] to blow up Mudmouths if you don't want to use bombs, and that you can use the Booyah Bomb near a Drizzler to splat it... even when it's under its umbrella. There's a lot more Salmon Run special attacks you can cheese Boss Salmonids with to be discovered by me... as of now, this isn't everything about this that I know about. There will be more. I think.

Mudmouths have a similar way of working as flyfish buckets Meaning everything that can kill a flyfish via its buckets can kill a mudmouth This includes bombs(duh), inkjet shots, explosive crab tank shots, and explosher shots (possibly also other things but I don't remember any) Explosher is absolutely broken in salmon run btw, I had a mudmouths round once where I got explosher and they didn't stand a chance

Not sure if this has been shown but when preforming a squid surge against a wall in the waiting lobby, if you go high enough and hit the roof your squid/octo is surprised when they hit the wall and their eyes go wide

Octololing amiibo had bad spelling mistakes and sentences in splat 2 because they were foreign to the inkling language, in splat 3 they have way better inkling language skills as they have been on the surface for some time now.

This isn't exactly about the game, but an amiibo! Marina's amiibo is inaccurate to her appearance in the game. On the amiibo, she has teal nail polish to match her ink color. Thing is, octolings and inklings don't actually have fingernails! In game, Marina (as well as our good friends from Deep Cut) just opt to dye the entirety of their fingers.

During the intro anmiation of the stage in salmon run, the helicopters shadow disappears over the water. I guess this is more of a random fact than a fun or interesting detail, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. (I only tested this on one map, so it's possible it functions differently on others.)
