I would argue that the early bridge IS very much worth it, for multiple reasons: 1) The second beach is a separate area to the normal beach, and as such makes a trip to the beach much more lucrative. 2) Just like all the other areas, forage items on the beach reset every week, meaning you can't just wait till fall for level 10 Foraging, go there and expect a magical beach filled with Coral and Sea Urchins on every tile. 3) You're basically guaranteed to make at least 3000 gold from emptying the beach on two consecutive Saturdays (the day before the reset). You know what you can buy with 3000 gold? The 300 wood you spent on the bridge. 4) All the items on that beach give Foraging experience, which gets you to Gatherer and Lightning Rod recipes faster

*First winter is so profitable!* My first winter I was absolutely out of money so I started tilling soil in search for winter roots and snow yams. I quickly found out that you can find an abundance of them. My strategy was getting as much food that replenishes energy in my in inventory, drinking a coffe at the beginning of the day and then heading out for the beach. I tilled ever single tile on the beach plus every other tillable tile on the map and by the end of the day I'd end up with about 30-50 snow yams + winter roots to sell. That first winter I bought both the red and blue backpack upgrades, finished the treasury bundle and upgraded my house and tools. Don't sleep on winter, it can give you such a boost!

By night market time he started asking me to go beach tilling and by the time night market passed ,he began helping me till the whole map. Boy , I told you it’s profitabile!

It affects fishing, combat, and the amounts and qualities of loot that you can get from mining, as well as the other activities. It can make your life a whole lot easier to do certain things on lucky days rather than unlucky ones. It's by no means required, it's just very useful and can save you time and energy.

Personally, I almost always finish the beach bridge by the 6th of spring in my playthroughs, this is just preferential as it gives me access to additional forgeables, and I can very easily get my wood back later simply by utilising the near-limitless energy in salmonberry season. There are always plenty of trees on my farm and I always make sure to chop as few of them down as possible until I have level 1 foraging (Which really doesn't take long, I typically chop down about six trees and collect forage and get level 1 on Day 2) that way I can get the seeds from trees when I'm chopping them down and I can plant additional trees for salmonberry season. Even one day's worth of Salmonberries is usually (if you have level 4 foraging) roughly 75-100 berries. Which is worth 1800-2000 energy! (25 energy per berry) That much energy can easily allow me to cut down AT LEAST 40 trees. So I just find this worth it to me. Hell, sometimes I just go ahead and sell some of my wood early game before the egg festival just to get a few extra strawberry seeds. (At a rate of 2g/wood, that's 50 wood for a single seed, so it's not a great exchange, but I personally try to get 40 seeds year 1, so if I'm a little short, this is my method to gain some extra money.)

You make some really nice points, but I think building the beach bridge early is a good idea. Yes, it costs a lot of wood, but if you have the extra wood or even if you simply farm trees sustainably, you can find a lot of valuable things on the other side of the bridge, like sea urchins and clams, which sell for a lot and help up the foraging skill. Early game I found that chopping trees and not the stumps gives a ton of acorns needed to make the field snacks. I leave the stump in the ground because it leaves back plenty of respawnable acorns and I slowly take any extra acorns that I'm not using for field snacks to plant trees in the upper left side of the map as soon as possible. I use the field snacks to quickly maximize my forestry and for any other additional activities that I normally could not fit into a day due to energy demands. I can usually get two to three days of energy out of one day using this technique as long as I plan the day before I go off and get things done. The first month is usually very specific but after that anything goes. Made something like 25,000 in the first month which I feel is plenty especially since I was able to purchase about 150 strawberry plants during the festival and buy my backpacks by the end of the month.

A correction about the first bit of the video where you show Clint opening geodes when talking about luck: Geodes and Troves aren't affected by luck, they are affected by your map seed. There's a predetermined item you will get based on what geode/trove you are opening. First time player, because of my experience with minecraft, and terraria, and starbound, I ended up just ONLY planting and farming crops that I'd either foraged, or received as a reward from artifacts or other quests. Thus, I've kinda been doing like my own unintentional challenge mode, but to me it's just how I normally play; that is, never 'buying' a single seed. I've got ancient seeds from a crafting recipe, I've got foragables for days, I get stuff like cabbage, coffee, and rice as loot drops from enemies, and of course mixed seeds gains me a few random crops here and there which I stockpile. I basically just heavily focus on artisan goods/passive income. Bee hives, crystalariums, recyclers, the one keg I got as a reward from the community center which I still don't have the crafting recipe for, the pickling barrels which I make jam from, rows of tapped trees, and rows of tea trees. All my others skills are level 10, but my farming is only level 6. I never do large-scale farming simply because I just don't accumulate enough crops to do so. But that makes things easier on me, as it leaves me a lot more time to focus on mining and foraging, and keeping an eye on other things without having to constantly check on a giant field of crops.

I wanted to say that i always don't really like the advice of keeping a little bit of everything (because people have 30 chests with useless things that they will never use) but then i checked what stuff you need for cooking and changed my mind lol. the thing is that at this point i remember almost everything that you need for crafting and cooking and quests so I know what to keep, but if you haven't spent 1500h in the game like i did this may be actually a good idea... but personally i have 7 chests and 2 fridges and that's all you need to complete the game (even less actually but I like it this way for organizing purposes). though if you have walnut room unlocked then you have pierre's missing stocklist and magic bait so basically you can get everything you need at any time (by the way if you need certain forageables, on saturday you can trade forage seeds you have for forage seeds of the season you need at the desert trader). I try to challenge myself by completing the game as fast as possible in in-game days. I just finished a playthrough where in two years I got every achievement and every requirement for perfection, including getting all stardrops and befriending everyone, except earning 10 mil for gold clock. I don't minmax so all of that can be achieved by a casual style of playing. The only thing where I cheated a little is I used a predictor for geode manipulation, but in my defense i got really unlucky with Qi quests and couldn't get dangerous skull cavern quest to farm omni-geodes (good way to farm omni-geodes is to use monster musk in dangerous skull cavern with burglar's ring and re-enter until you get mummy floor, kill all ghosts and then repeat). I earned 10 mil in total, but I spent it on ore and wood and stone because I didn't really had enough time to farm it manually. Now I'm thinking about the way to earn 20 mil in two years at least somewhat casually without min-max strategies like clay farming or full farm of crops... any suggestions? three sheds full of starfruit wine isn't enough. I know that there are videos of people who achieved perfection in two years (you can't do it faster because you need a queen of sauce recipe on 28th of winter) but my goal is to prove that you can achieve perfection playing casually. also i came up with another challenge for myself, i want to collect all stardrops in 100 days. i almost did it once except getting fishing one... the only problem with fishing stardrop is that you need to get lucky enough with rains in second half of spring to have enough fishing level to catch legend fish. i foresee a lot of restarts...

i recently did this no mods, no cheats or manipulations. basically, the best tips for it are typical early game money strategies i.e potatoes into strawberries etc. dont try to befriend anyone too much in year 1 outside birthdays in which case give them the best quality gift you can give them without going too far out of your way and always put either a sturgeon or gold star purple mushroom in the potluck soup. i planted a few blue jazz and spangles for gifts (Jas and Caroline) maybe 4 of each. aim for 2 pigs by mid summer that was my benchmark then make a coop for community centre/ year 2 gifting (rabbits feet/goats cheese etc) aim for around 600 crops by fall year 1 you should be making a shed or 2 by this point, plant mostly pumpkins and juice them clear a space somewhere with enough space for 50-60 oak trees and space them out and place paths between them for a resin farm this will seem alot at first and you'll stockpile quite a bit of resin but you'll need it all eventually. farm dust sprites as the 1st thing on the protector list after reacing level 100 and unlocking gold and the stardrop and abuse the burglar ring for extra coal while farming godless amounts of iron clear all the trees in the forest before the ones on your farm and replant every now and then when you get a big space youre not using for crops. save 10-15 strawberries and seed them for the greenhouse, keep seeding what they make and start year 2 with a few hundred strawberry plants. youre going to want at least 5 sheds filled with kegs i went with 6 and overshot the money margin by 8 million. once you know your good for cash and will make it comfortably, stop planting starfruit on the island and clear the farm for the snake vertabrae dig spots. in winter of year 1 you should have plenty of spare cash if you stocked a few strawberries you wont need much to refill the farm so buy 700-800 copper ore around the same in iron around 200-300 coal and a few stacks of wood from robin, whatever youre comfortable with. just be aware youre gonna wish you bought more while it was still cheap. in year 2 when buying sheds buy the wood from robin and take your own stone, you'll have plenty of it and its better than spending all the time you dont have chopping and replanting trees. remember; buying copper and iron is an investment that soon pays itself off. time is your most valuable resource, spend it wisely and never EVER miss a birthday. hope this helped. :D

0:05/0:27 I decided a while ago on what I would do that day based on the Luck. Neutral to Good Humor is Mines, Very Happy is either Clint or Mines depending on how many Geodes I have, and anything below neutral is fishing. Unless it's Saturday, then I'm foraging. 1:55 I collect things in a chest (Mushrooms, Starred Items that are not Foragables or Crops, etc.) and then sell them on the 28th. If they are not Starred, I keep them in a designated chest. I especially do that because if what they want, I have but as a Starred Item, it would have been better to sell the item than use them in a Quest or something. Unless the Quest gives more than the item I have costs. 2:33 My first Farm was the River one because I wanted practice with it. Eventually, after a few hours of practice, I enjoyed it so it became something to do before I sleep.

FYI, what you get in a geode is pre-determined by your game seed when you create the file. It's a widely-held belief that daily luck affects geode contents - it does not. Feel free to take geodes to Clint whenever. You might actually reserve the occasional Very Happy day for fishing, you can get more/better treasure chests. Or - and this might sound crazy, but if you're burnt out on the mines - chop wood for resources. You get more wood dropped from trees on good luck days.

The last one is really important. I just started playing Stardew Valley and whenever i look up content to find out how to get certain things they already expect you to be experts in things. For example they already want you to reach level 40-80 in the mines in just your first spring or summer- i havent even gotten past level 15 because i just am not good in combat games- and thats okay- take the time you need in order to get everything ready and you'll be okay- no rush with anything

Yeah I leave decorating to my younger sister closest I go to decorating is making sure that I have a decently fenced area for the animals and a good amount of area in farms outside of the Hill Farm which was the one that me and my sister played on for growing decent crops but Ginger Island I made it to Ginger Island and year 2 I still haven't made it to year 3 on my own mind you I made it to Ginger Island and once you're there at the Hill Farms minor size is no problem

i just started playing the game for the first time and i picked a beach farm. i recently found out it’s the hardest, cus no sprinklers right? but for me it’s been just fine if not super easy bc i dont have a massive field to tend to. my farm is incredibly small and i intend to keep it that way bc it let’s you do other things like fishing and mining. and fishing makes a TON OF CASH. even though i’m taking it really easy, i’ve progressed pretty far. and most of my friendships are at 8 hearts 😭😭

I was set on fishing the community center in year 1 or 2 and I quickly realized that it was way too much for me. I just finished it and i’m on year 4. Also it’s hard to have buildings and a lot of crops on the river farm but i’m slowly figuring out how to fit all the ones I need
@Deafgal-c3p Жыл бұрын
it is possible, but requires a strict guide and unfortunely some luck in the red cabbage section. and if you forget a season exclusive or weather exclusive, it take ages. i only recommend it to veteran stardew players like those who more or less know where to go and when they need that etc.

Tip: When starting out in fishing buy the training rod it's cheap and helps out a lot when trying to catch fish in the beginning, even though they give basic fish only it just makes thing so much easier when the fishing minigame is difficult for you.

in point 1, luck, the video seem to imply that popping open geodes and related items is affected by luck. It is not. Getting them in the first place can be, as luck affects the drop rate from breaking rocks. My only advice is to not worry too much about maximizing efficiency or profits. If you do something as simple as planting out a big field of wheat in your first summer and letting the weather water it, it can give you a giant stack of things to feed to your kegs. Then you get a nice, steady flow of money from beer sales, and once you're out of wheat, you can feed your lower-quality melons to the booze engine. Are there more efficient ways to make money? Sure. But this way is uncomplicated and powerful enough to fund all your tool and farm building upgrades pretty easily. And when you really need giant piles of cash, a few batches of starfruit wine can go a long way.
