I find 7 inches overall length with 3 inches of blade and 4 inches of handle seems about right for an EDC fixie. I've tried many over the years and the CRKT Hunt'N Fisch remains my favorite. The horizontally oriented leather sheath makes it very comfortable to carry in front of my side pocket in a cross-draw position. It is often overlooked because when you browse the knife dealer's websites the Hunt'N Fisch won't be listed under EDC knives. You'll find it with the hunting knives.

@@IamElmerJFudd agree with you about blade & handle lengths. I like a full four-finger grip, and for almost everything I do, 3 inches of blade is not only enough, but easier to use than a larger blade.

Good choice. As a folder EDC I like something a bit smaller (Spyderco Dragonfly 2 for me) but the philosophy, use and size is similar.

Been really loving my seasnake. I'm not afraid to use it and scratch or mar it, that blade shape allows a lot of cutting power for straps and ropes and ties. The tip is great for detail work and opening packages. Ergos are great, it takes a quick edge and gets RAZOR sharp. Edge retention could be better, but it's a user. I'm not working with it in my hand all day cutting things that quickly dull a knofe every day. It pucks out splinters really well too🤙

TJ Schwartz Overland Sport has been my favorite fixed blade I've ever had. And it doesn't come with a uneven bevel that was put on with a bench grinder. He hand sharpens every one of his knives on a jig. But it was well worth the money and I absolutely love it. And the blade is magnacut

It’s a bit expensive but I carry the Amtac Blades Northman. It’s a good size for everyday use, can be used for self defense if necessary, and has a deep carry pocket sheath. One idea about your comment section, as I have had this thought now a bunch of times watching your videos and trying to look up the knives you mention: At the top of your comments you should have links to the products from the video. Definitely expected to find (at the very minimum) links to the Asher & Axial when checking your comment section. Better would be to have links to all knives discussed. The Outdoor Edge Pivot is my go-to ($25-30). It's similar to the LeDuck. It has a rotating belt clip. It blends into my belt profile, isn't bulky, and has great ergos. It's similar to my Esee Izula II, but the kydex sheath is what makes the OE Pivot better. The sheath also has a safety keeper that adds some extra security but doesn't get in the way when you draw it quickly.

I often pocket carry the White River Backpacker Pro without a clip on the sheath. S35VN steel gets scalpel sharp. I rotate it with a custom small Kephart knife I made for myself out of an eighty year old file that I think is W2 steel. 3" blade, 4" Micarta handle, it's a heavy little knife, but a great do it all EDC knife. I can beat the crap out of it without feeling bad. It is one tough knife.

@@GBall_Vision The sheath alone rattles after a month of use, blade steel sucks for the price, ergo’s are weird. Think that stuff alone makes it non trade friendly. @@GBall_Vision I don't know if you have you seen the UG TiNy. Dbk put it through a lot of abuse and it survived despite having barely any tang in the handle. It is probably somewhat of an outlier but it shows that it is not a definite truth.
