13 Points to Check Before Taking Delivery of New Motorcycle | Pre Delivery Inspection EP 4

Hey there guys, you can crank every available motorcycle and choose the one with best idling, keep your engine on for sometime at idle to listen to the sound of bike so that if any loose bolts /nuts don't go unnoticed. Also check footrests and brake as for any shoe marks and do check the odometer. It shouldn't be more than 10-15 kms. Check the battery also the wiring part. The tyres and their manufacturing date as they shouldn't be much old and that they have adequate pressure. Tell the showroom guys to put a minimum of 3 ltrs petrol as you pay that much for the bike . Also check from behind, the alignment of your motorcycle with wheels. Lastly do check the VIN along with all the documents needed and don't forget to take the spare key 😉. Ride safe, God bless.

You have missed a very important point here - "Odometer tempering". I have seen a lot of Indian bike reviewers riding new bikes with disabled speedometer and odometer. I am sure such fraud dealers would be selling the same used bikes to clients as new bikes as the covered miles will not be recorded.

A new bike mostly will not have the battery terminals connected and always with an empty tank with a small quantity of fuel. When you ask for a test ride before delivery, they will fill fuel. If possible try to be there when they unload the bike from the truck, inform the salesperson to inform you. Always try this book, wait and take delivery.

Which oil you are talking about. I guess you meant every single fluid he mentioned in vedio(engine oil, coolant, break oil). They all have a purpose like coolant will cool the engine(only for liquid cooled bikes) engine oil is for engine and break oil is for breaks. If they are not in recommend level then your bike will not perform well and chances are high that these parts will get work out very quickly and easily

Bhai one doubt. Dominar 250 usd 37mm Dominar 400 usd 43mm Weight almost same. Don't you think 37mm usd won't last long and won't be strong enough ?

I don't think that's going to be an issue.. Bajaj has tested this bike for more than a year with the test mules.. so I don't think it's gonna be an issue 😊 But again the quality of those usd forks will be determined once the first batch of customers take it on long rides.. and come back to service centres for the regular service

I did not check an important matter. That is odometer. after 2 days odometer showed 350kms. but on trip meter it was only 185kms. and I am damn sure that I did not ride more than 200kms.

I recently bought an MT15 Bs4 variant and upon receiving the registration card found out that the bikes manufacturing date was around 8 months prior to me having bought it. I did check all of the points mentioned in the video and everything seemed okay however there a lot of micro scratches on the digital odo which could be from the regular dusting by a rag cloth over the months... and also a lot of scratches near the key area.. because of the lockdown I couldn't go and talk to the showroom.. can anybody guess what could these scratches be from..esp the ones near the key area

You guessed it right.. those scratches are because of wiping it.. Showrooms clean the display bikes often and they key and unkey the bikes to move places.. I guess those scratches are because of that.. if the bike is running smoothly without any issues then sit back relax and enjoy riding.. 😊🤘
