ARod...I know this is an older video but dude...thanks! I would have never thought of trying to replace the switch in situ, lol..I was already prepared to have to gut the door but after watching you make it look so easy I said...let's try. about 20 minutes start to finish. The hardest part for me was getting the new switch in the hole since it is kind of hidden and you can only see with your fingers. Everybody else saying you have to pull the lockworks out of the door to replace the switch are full of it. Thanks again. Forgot to add this was on my '04 F250 with the 6 point Oh No.

Looks like the same ajar switch Ford used 10 years ago. It was junk then and i guess it still is. Great video.

Twist the sensor off away from you, if you got big paws remove the 10 mil bolt securing the window regulator guide in the way then you'll have all the wiggle room to get it done without a few choice words.

The passenger door on my F250 intermittently does this. The assholes at Audi and VW did this shit... put the ajar switch into the latch mechanism instead of a common plunger switch on the door sill. Nothing but problems!!
