I will not dwell on the past, I will pursue a life that is worth living: so, if that means to continue healing through the brokenness of these days I live, so be it. His tears are genuine, and real, and raw. I share these tears with you, Mr. Porter. I cry for the people I haven’t lost yet. I still cry.

In an otherwise emotionally and empathically empty season, this episode brought me to tears. This felt real, and it felt relevant. Like Hannah was a real girl, with real parents, and that the grief was real. I was stunned at this award winning moment. Oh and one more thing, it brings his arc from being angry at others, like Bryce in ep 1 or 2, to admitting to his own responsibility. He took the blame out there, and internalized it. That is a satisfying end.
