I had a friend who was an extra on this show for the first 3 seasons. A lot of very raw and emotional scenes back stage and there were a lot of breaks and people “ needing “ a few minutes to compose themselves. Don’t speak to my old friend anymore but pretty certain he said all of this was based on actual events from different people who had attended different schools at different times - which was all combined. Probably one of the most raw tv series I’ve ever seen.
